Anyone looking to invest in hair styling tools has likely come across a $250 curling iron or $400 hair dryer more often than they would care to admit. And while there's certainly nothing wrong with dropping that kind of cash on something that will last, "inexpensive" and "good quality" shouldn't be mutually exclusive. Apparently, this is a sentiment Kendall Jenner can get behind as the face of California-based brand Formawell Beauty's new Runway Series line of pro-grade styling tools, launching December 7.
"When I’m on set for a photo shoot, my hair is often exposed to heat which can leave it feeling dry or damaged," Jenner exclusively tells Allure. "I wanted to find a way to achieve healthy and shiny hair without sacrificing styling my hair with a curling iron or hair dryer." And while she may have recently put in some extensions for Drake's birthday party, you certainly don't need us to tell you that the secret to (real) long, luscious hair is keeping it as healthy as possible — even if you style on the regular.
The new, backstage beauty-inspired range of tools will include a hair dryer ($119), flatiron ($100), one-inch curling iron ($80), and various pro hair brushes that all have the brand's proprietary Ionic Gold Fusion mineral technology.
Each styling tool has Formawell's mineral blend of volcanic dust and 24K-gold dust, which aside from sounding like a geologist's treasures, naturally emits negative ions and far-infrared energy, making it gentler on strands. "I love it because it creates effortless, fast, and long-lasting styles without sacrificing healthy hair," Jenner adds.
The tools feature an ivory exterior punctuated by bronze accents and plating, but don't let the luxe design fool you: The entire collection retails from $15 to $119, making each item an affordable way to experiment with your style without having to do some serious wallet damage.
As for Jenner's hair mantra when she's not strutting down the runway or posing for a photo op? "Less is more. I like to keep an all-natural look on my days off."
