Former AFL star Brad Miller was married to one of Australia's most famous women, Pia Whitesell, for almost a decade. 

The pair enjoyed an almost fairytale romance when he became her first husband, with the couple sharing son, Lennox, 15.

But Brad, widely considered one of football's most handsome players, now prefers a more quiet life away from the spotlight.

The reclusive hunk just made a move to the Gold Coast Suns as an assistant coach ahead of the 2022 Premiership season. 

Brad rarely gives interviews to the media about his private life and tends to keep his relationships under wraps. 

He previously worked as Director of Coaching at Sydney University. He also worked as an assistant coach at GWS Giants for six years.  

The former couple got together in 2005, the year before Lennox was born. He was an AFL pin-up boy and she was a successful model at the time. 

The couple were married for eight years and they were regularly spotted at red carpet events around Melbourne during that time.

Exes: The pair seemed to have a blessed life, with Pia giving birth to their son, Lennox, in late 2006. She married the retired Richmond player the following year, but ended things in 2015

Pia's career took off in 2014, when she landed the role of Kat Chapman on Home and Away. The pair battled rumours their relationship was on the rocks soon after. 

In a sad turn of events, the former couple announced they had split in October 2015. 

'After several months of reflection we have decided to separate,' their joint statement read.

'Even though we've lived in different states for over 12 months, we have shared ten wonderful years together. 

'We will always be supportive of one another. We are, and always will be, a family.'  

Pia later told Marie Claire that she struggled to balance her family life and filming commitments for the soap.

'I'd shoot all day, jump on a plane, race home and make dinner - it was like I was working full-time in both places,' Pia told Marie Claire. 

'I was trying to do everything and it took a toll on me physically, I think it took its toll on everything.'

Following her split from Brad she went on to date producer Tyson Mullane. That union lasted from November 2017 to April 2019.

Pia confirmed she was dating Patrick in December 2019. The pair were secretly wed earlier this year with her now living in LA.
