Abstract

The present invention has been developed in the electro-mechanical engineering field. More specifically, the invention relates to an electro-mechanical device formed by characteristic components which, when installed in a specific manner in the base (seat cushion) and back of a chair or sofa, convert audio signals into tactile vibrations when a person is seated on the chair. In this way, users or audience members in cinemas or other entertainment spaces, such as, inter alia, concert halls, home theatres and amusement arcades, have the unusual sensation of being fully immersed in the film by hearing and feeling it through the body, something which has not been possible before now with any other commercially available device. The device is simple, inexpensive and easy to install and can improve the experience of users in cinemas and home theatres and at concerts or any other type of event.
