Object of the invention The present invention has application in the technical sector of dentistry and more specifically in the branch of prosthodontics, and refers to a device for capturing information for the virtual deployment of all the elements necessary for the simulation of the denture of a patient and its joint, whose purpose is to optimize the procedures carried out on the widely used artificial dental models that facilitate the study of a patient's masticatory apparatus externally to his denture, in order to perform overly invasive operations for the patient or those operations that are not possible to carry out in the same mouth of the patient.
More specifically, the object of the invention is an information capture device for virtual deployment that allows optimizing the procedure for the location of the patient's denture models so that the relative positioning task of said models does not require such elements as facial arcs or physical articulators where to locate said model, but that location is made by virtual simulation in dental CAD / CAM or three-dimensional models of computer-assisted dentures, where such optimal location is possible thanks to the use of this device which allows direct patient referral for virtual positioning of models.
Antecedentes de la invención Background of the invention
Currently, one of the needs that are manifested in the dentistry sector is the performance of some procedures and their test outside the patient's mouth for technical reasons, comfort, or for the forecast of the results, for which the use of a mechanical replica of the external patient's masticatory apparatus to the patient's mouth.
In order to carry out said obtaining of the mechanical model of the patient's denture, plaster models of the dentures, wax records or other material are normally used to take the reference of the relative position between upper and lower dentures, a facial arch or physical capture device for taking positioning references and a physical articulator to position the dental models in the original position of the patient's mouth and be able to simulate the masticatory function and mandibular movements derived from the real joint simulating the patient's mouth, to perform the different operations, such as the design of a dental prosthesis. In the dental laboratories, in the typical case of the design of a dental prosthesis, it has traditionally worked according to the conventional methodology, so that through the physical facial arch the patient's measurements are taken to locate the upper dental arch or upper denture with respect to the cranial system, this record is taken to the physical articulator for simulation, plaster models are positioned in the corresponding position in the physical articulator and the prostheses are designed by hand, so that being rigorous with the procedure, the results obtained are results Transferable to the occlusion or mandibular closure of the patient with few adjustments of the closure surface of the simulation models.
However, a few years ago, dental CAD / CAM systems were introduced, consisting of computer-assisted three-dimensional designs of dental models, which has led to an improvement in several aspects of the design, such as the application of new materials to these designs, automation or reduction of labor or greater profitability with better control quality.
Even so, there are aspects that must be improved in these CAD / CAM systems, so today research is continuing and progress is being made in the development and improvement of these systems that involve cost reduction and offer a better result favoring and eliminating difficulties in dentistry and prosthodontics operations.
Parallel to these CAD / CAM mentioned systems, some years ago the first virtual articulators were developed: the Kordass virtual articulator "DentCam" and the Szentpétery virtual articulator, (of which it is worth noting that they are not currently on the market none of them) so that it was intended to reduce the cost by ceasing to use the physical articulators to be able to perform their functions by computer simulation, by virtual deployment of all the elements of the simulation, to simulate the movements of the human jaw, being able to register them, move the occlusal or closing dental surfaces (i.e. the surfaces of the teeth that make contact with each other when closing the denture or perform the occlusion) digitized with each other, according to those movements and correct the surfaces Digitized occlusals allowing movements without collisions, where the information obtained is used to subsequently correct the dental closing surfaces of crowns and bridges made with a CAD / CAM system.
This development of CAD / CAM systems for the simulation of models in terms of the novelties offered by the new articulators has been an advance and has brought advantages in qualitative aspects, in that the tasks are performed in a simpler, more reliable and precise, but they have brought a considerable increase in costs in that the taking of information by scanning the models to simulate required the positioning of these models in the physical articulator previously, so it is necessary to mount it manually, and then scan it .
In the International Dental Show fair held in March 2011 in Cologne, several virtual articulators were presented within the CAD / CAM systems, such as the Ammán Girbach, Zfx, 3Shape, SmartOptics, EXOCAD and Zirkonzahn, which all need to be assembled of the models in a physical articulator and once located, scan the models mounted in that position, as previously described.
Patent Application has been filed for the ZirkonZahn and SmartOptics systems mentioned above, which are being processed, with number EP-2229913-A1 and DE-102008060504-A1, records that include inventions that require the use of both the mentioned physical facial arc for taking references between upper and lower models and being able to mount said plaster models in physical articulator to scan in that position, to finally place it in the virtual articulator.
The proposed ZirkonZahn system mentioned requires introducing the physical articulator with the models mounted to the scanner to position both models in the virtual articulator, and the system proposed by SmartOptics requires the positioning of the models in the upper and lower plates of the articulator, and they are placed in that position in the scanner that has and recognizes the same geometry as the physical articulator, so it can be said that it does not dispense with the physical articulator, since it is integrated in the scanner. In addition, during the International Dental Show 2011, the Arcus Digma, Zebris and AXIOQUICK devices were shown, capable of recording the three-dimensional mandibular movements by ultrasound, although these devices do not allow to directly relate the information records of the patient's mouth with the Virtual articulators as the object of the invention do allow, and also the use of these devices implies a considerable economic investment.
Therefore, as described above, the inventions hitherto known by the prior art perform the function of the object of the invention, but in no case do they comprise a device capable of directly transferring the location of the denture models from the patient to the articulator. virtual directly.

Realización preferente de la invención Preferred Embodiment of the Invention
In view of the aforementioned figures, it can be observed that in one of the possible embodiments of the invention, the information gathering device for the virtual deployment that the invention proposes is preferably a facial arc preferably constituted by a main body (1) which it is formed by a first part (2) which is preferably a cuvette (6) that acts as a fastening means for holding the device by, preferably, occlusion of the denture, so that said denture preferably leaves a print on a mold preferably made of alginate located in said cuvette (6), and a second part (4) that is preferably a circumferential section (7) and that is attached to the first part (2) by means of joining (3) that are preferably a stick of connection, where said circumferential section (7) that preferably has a semicircular shape, once the patient bites the cuvette (6), said circumferential section (7) Cantilever, since at one end of said stick the tray (6) is located, and at the other end thereof the connecting stick being outside the mouth and in front of the nose, said circumferential section (7) is located, as you can see in view of figure 1.
In order to be able to take the information from the device located in the patient, an external scanner is preferably used, so that information gathering means (11) are located, which are preferably stickers that make scanning the points to which they are attached, which are preferably three points of the patient's head and several points of the circumferential section (7) which is designed to contain said stickers since it is preferably formed by a succession of almost flat faces (9) forming an arc, so that the external scanner collects information from both the patient's head and the circumferential section (7) which is attached to the cuvette (6), and therefore, to the patient's denture, which allows obtaining reference coordinates (5) that are preferably axes of Cartesian coordinates x, y, z that are transferred to a computer-aided design system, as can be seen in the figures flush 1, 2 and 5.
As can be seen in Figure 2, after the generation of a model of the upper denture that is preferably made of plaster, it is placed in a housing (10) of the cuvette (6) and is preferably adjusted by use of the mold, so that it is in the closest position to which the patient's denture was fixed in the first information taking.
In addition to the first collection of information that has been made with the device located in the patient's upper denture, a second information collection is performed by external scanning of the device coupled to the model of the upper denture in the manner indicated above, so that the model is loaded into the assisted design system and can be compared and matched with the reference coordinate system (5) obtained previously, preferably carrying out a mathematical analysis for the best possible positioning of the virtual upper denture model in the reference coordinates (5) that preferably have coordinate axes (8), as can be seen in Figures 2, 3 and 5. Once the virtual model of the upper denture is located in this way in the patient's cranial system as can be seen in figures 4 and 5, so that, with these elements for virtual simulation properly located and related s they allow operations on the patient's simulated denture externally to his mouth.
By coupling the information collection means (11) in the models of the upper and lower dentures assembled simulating the dental occlusion and by registering said position with a mold as can be seen in view of Figure 6 , a second collection of information about the patient's lower denture is performed to obtain the coordinates of the intercondylar axis, that is, of the axis that, together with the skull, forms the jaw joint, so that once these coordinates are obtained new, they are made to coincide with the coordinates obtained previously, so that the virtual simulation of the patient's complete denture is obtained, as can be seen in view of Figure 7.
In a second possible embodiment of the invention, the information collection means (11) is preferably an internal scanner, by which it is not necessary to generate the upper denture model, for which: only the first part (2 is scanned ) of the device as opposed to what is observed in Figure 2, where said first part (2) has a print on it after the occlusion made on it, so that through a mathematical analysis the best possible positioning of the patient's upper denture, matching the geometries of the upper denture (scanned separately) with said footprint generated by the denture, as can be seen in the penultimate image of Figure 5.
In the same way, without the use of a model of the lower denture, the device is used on the lower denture of the patient, so that the information of the device and the patient is collected from various positions of the lower denture with respect to the upper one , so that the relevant information is obtained to obtain the virtual simulation, as can be seen in figure 8 and in the last image of figure 5. In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the information collection means (11) is preferably a digital camera.
