さ らに、 上記構成の本発明によれば、 音源よ り楽音信号と、 振動源と してのバイブレーショ ンスピーカにおける振動を発生する振動系が共振 する周波数帯域に対応する振動用信号とを発生させ、 上記楽音信号と振 動用信号とを加算した信号でバイプレーショ ンス ピーカを駆動する よ う にしたので、 携帯電話機等のバイ ブレーシ ョ ン機能の実現手段と して、 バイ ブレーシ ョ ンス ピーカを振動源と して用いた場合に複雑な回路構成 を用いずに通常のス ピーカ ドライブアンプで駆動できる。
また携帯電話機において着信を音 (曲のメ ロディ一) と振動で報知す るよ うに設定した場合において、 音源で生成した振動用信号によ り趣の 異なる振動を発生させる こ とができるので、 違和感がなく 、 楽しめる と いう効果も得られる。
また、 本発明によれば、 音源よ り 出力される楽音信号の う ち低域成分 を除去した信号と、 音源よ り 出力される楽音信号のう ちのリズムに同期 した振動用信号とを加算し、 この加算出力によ り振動源と してのパイブ レーシヨ ンス ピーカを駆動するよ う にしたので、 携帯電話機等のパイブ レ一シヨ ン機能の実現手段と して、 バイブレーシ ョ ンス ピーカを振動源 と して用いた場合に複雑な回路構成を用いずに通常のスピー力 ドライブ アンプで駆動できる、 とい う効果が得られる。
また、 携帯電話機において着信を音 (曲のメ ロディー) と振動で報知 するよ う に設定した場合において、 音響と して出力される曲の リ ズム と 同期して振動が発生するので、 違和感がなく 、 楽しめる という効果も得 られる。 図面の簡単な説明

発明を実施するための最良の形態
以下、 本発明の実施形態を図面を参照して説明する。 本発明の実施形 態では携帯電話機のバイブレーショ ン機能に本発明を適用 した場合につ いて説明するが、 特にこれに限られたものではない。
く第 1実施形態〉
本発明の第 1 実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の構成を図 1 に示す。 同 図において、 第 1 実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置は、 楽音信号を生成す る音源 1 0 と、 振動を発生する振動源と しての D Cモータ 2 4 と、 音源 1 0から出力される楽音信号の う ち低域成分を抽出する信号抽出手段と してのロ ーノヽ0スフイノレタ ( L P F ) 1 6 と、 口一ノヽ0スフイ ノレタ 1 6 の出 力信号を検波する検波回路 1 8 と、 検波回路 1 8 の検波出力を整流する 整流回路 2 0 と、 口一パスフィルタ 1 6によ り抽出された低域成分の楽 音信号に基づいて前記振動源を駆動する駆動手段と しての増幅器 2 2 と を有している。
1 2は音源 1 0から出力される楽音信号を増幅する増幅器、 1 4は増 幅器の出力により駆動され、 楽音信号に基づく音響を発生するス ピーカ であり、 2 6は振動に同期して点滅表示するためのホ トダイオードであ る。 D Cモータ 2 4は、 回転軸にウェイ トが偏心して取り付けてあり 、 このウェイ トを回転することによ り携帯電話機本体に振動を発生するよ うに構成されている。 音源は例えば、 F M音源であり、 入力される音楽 データに基づいて楽音信号を出力する。 この音源は P C M音源等、 楽音 信号を生成可能な音源であれば、 いずれも適用可能である。
上記構成において、 携帯電話機で着信を音 (メ ロディー) と振動で報 知するよ うに設定した場合において着信があると、 音源 1 0が駆動され、 入力される音楽データに基づいて所定の曲のメ ロディーの楽音信号が音 源 1 0 よ り増幅器 1 2及び口一パスフィルタ 1 6 に出力される。 この結 果、 ス ピーカ 1 4 よ り楽音信号に基づく音響が出力される。
一方、 ロ ーパス フィルタ 1 6では音源 1 0から出力される楽音信号 のうち低域成分の楽音信号が抽出される。
図 2に音源 1 0 よ り出力される楽音信号の周波数特性を示す。 同図に おいて、 曲線 Pは楽音信号の低域成分の周波数特性を示し、 曲線 Qは楽 音信号の高域成分の周波数特性を示している。 楽音信号における低域成 分の上限周波数は f c 1である。 また口一パスフィルタ 1 6の周波数特性 を図 3に示す。 同図に示すよ うに口一パス フィルタ 1 6 の周波数特性に おけるカッ トオフ周波数は i c 1になるよ うにフィルタ定数が選択されて いる。 したがって、 ローパスフィルタ 1 6によ り楽音信号のう ち曲線 P で示される周波数特性の低域成分が抽出される。 口一パスフィルタ 1 6の出力信号は、 検波回路 1 8 によ り検波され、 次いで整流回路 2 0 よ り 図 4 に示す波形の信号が出力され、 この信号は 増幅器 2 2によ り所定のレベルまで増幅され、 D Cモータ 2 4及びホ ト ダイオー ド 2 6 に印加される。 この結果、 D Cモータ 2 4 は音源 1 0 か ら出力される楽音信号の う ち低域成分、 例えば、 ベース音のリ ズムに同 期して駆動され、 振動が発生する。 またホ トダイオー ド 2 6 も振動に同 期して点滅する。
したがって、 スピーカ 1 4からは音源 1 0 から出力される楽音信号を 再生して得られる曲のメ ロディが低域から高域にわたって音響と して出 力され、 振動源と しての D Cモータ 2 4は楽音信号から抽出された低域 成分である リ ズム音に同期して駆動されるためにリ ズム音に同期して振 動が発生する。
このよ う に本発明の第 1 実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置によれば、 携 帯電話機において着信を音 (曲のメ ロディー) と振動で報知するよ う に 設定した場合において、 音響と して出力される曲のリ ズムと同期して振 動が発生するので、 違和感がなく 、 楽しめる という効果が得られる。 く第 2実施形態〉
次に、 本発明の第 2実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の構成を図 5 に示 す。 第 2実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置が第 1 実施形態に係る振動源駆 動装置と構成上、 異なるのは、 図 1 における整流回路 2 0の出力側にコ ンパレータ 3 0 と、 基準電圧発生回路 3 2 と、 コンパレータ 3 0の出力 によ りオン、 オフ制御されるスィ ツチ素子と しての トランジスタ 3 4 と、 抵抗 3 6 とを設け、 電源 V ccと D Cモ一タ 2 4及びホ トダイオー ド 2 6 の一端と を抵抗 3 6及ぴ トランジスタ 3 4 を介して接続するよ う にした 点であり 、 その他の構成は第 1 の実施の形態に係る振動源駆動装置と同 一であるので同一の要素には同一の符号を付し、 重複する説明は省略す る。
上記構成において、 携帯電話機で着信を音 (メ ロディー) と振動で報 知するよ うに設定した場合において着信があると、 音源 1 0が駆動され、 入力される音楽データに基づいて所定の曲の'メ ロディーの楽音信号が音 源 1 0 よ り増幅器 1 2及び口一パスフ ィルタ 1 6 に出力される。 この結 果、 スピーカ 1 4 よ り楽音信号に基づく音響が出力される。
一方、 既述したよ う に口一パスフィルタ 1 6 の出力信号は検波回路 1 8、 整流回路 2 0によ り検波、 整流され図 4に示す信号が得られる。 整 流回路 2 0 の出力信号はコ ンパレータ 3 0で基準電圧発生回路 3 2から 出力される一定レベルの基準信号と比較され、 コ ンパレータ 3 0から ト ランジスタ 3 4 のベースに図 6 に示すパルス列信号が出力される。 この パルス列信号は、 整流回路 2 0 の出力信号と同様に音源 1 0 よ り出力さ れる楽音信号のうち低域成分の信号、 具体的にはリ ズム信号に相当する ものである。
トランジスタ 3 4は、 コ ンパレータ 3 0の出力信号であるパルス列信 号によりオン、 オフ制御され、 D Cモータ 2 4及びホ トダイオード 2 6 への電源供給が制御される。
したがって、 スピーカ 1 4からは音源 1 0から出力される楽音信号を 再生して得られる曲のメ ロディが低域から高域にわたって音響と して出 力され、 振動源と しての D Cモータ 2 4は楽音信号から抽出された低域 成分である リ ズム音に同期して駆動されるためにリ ズム音に同期して振 動が発生する。 この時ホ トダイオード 2 6は振動に同期して点滅する。
このよ うに、 本発明の第 2実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置においても、 第 1実施形態と同様に、 携帯電話機において着信を音 (曲のメ ロディー) と振動で報知するよ うに設定した場合において、 音響と して出力される 曲のリズムと同期して振動が発生するので、 違和感がなく 、 楽しめる と いう効果が得られる。
く第 3実施形態〉
次に、 本発明の第 3実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の構成を図 7に示 す。 第 3実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置が第 1実施形態に係る振動源駆 動装置と構成上、 異なるのは、 第 1実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の構 成を示す図 1 において、 振動源と しての D Cモータ 2 4 を音源 1 0から 出力される楽音信号の う ち低域成分によ り駆動するのにシーケンサ 4 0 によ り音源 1 0から出力される楽音信号の う ち リ ズム音を示すリ ズム信 号の出力期間を示すタイ ミ ング信号に基づいて音源と増幅器 2 2 との間 に設けられたスィ ッチ 4 2 をオン、 オフ制御する ことによ り実現する よ う にした点であり 、 他の構成は第 1 の実施の形態に係る振動源駆動装置 と同様であるので、 同一の要素には同一の参照符号を付し、 重複する説 明は省略する。
なお、 シーケンサ 4 0 は、 内部にカウンタを有しており 、 こ のカウ ンタで時間をカウン ト しながら、 音源 (例えば、 F M音源) 1 0から出 力される リ ズム信号を出力するタイ ミ ングデータに基づいてリ ズム信号 の出力期間中、 オン状態になる よ う にスィ ッチ 4 2を制御する。 シーケ ンサ 4 0 は本発明の制御手段に相当する。
上記構成において、 シーケンサ 4 0 は、 シーケンスデータ (音楽デー タ) を必要チャ ンネル分だけ有しており 、 これを並列的に音源 1 0 を駆 動制御するこ とによ り 音源 1 0 よ り低域から高域にわたって楽音信号が 生成される。 この楽音信号は、 増幅器 1 2 を介してス ピーカ 1 4 に供給 され、 ス ピーカ 1 4 からはス ピーカ 1 4 よ り楽音信号に基づく 音響が出 力される。
また、 シーケンサ 4 0では、 シーケンスデータのう ち リ ズム音を示す リズム信号を出力するタイ ミ ングを示すデータ、 具体的には図 8 に示す よ うなゲー ト時間 A, B, C, …の各期間を指定するデータ (時刻 t l , t 3 , t 5 でオン、 t 2, t 4 でオフ) によ り スィ ッチ 4 2 をオン、 ォ フ制御するこ とによ り増幅器 2 2 を介して振動源と しての D Cモータ 2 4及びホ トダイオー ド 2 6 にリ ズム信号を供給する。 この結果、 ス ピ一 力 1 4からは音源 1 0から出力される楽音信号を再生して得られる曲の メ ロディ が低域から高域にわたって音響と して出力され、 振動源と して の D Cモータ 2 4 はシーケンサの制御下にオンオフ動作するスィ ツチ 4 2から出力される楽音信号の低域成分である リ ズム音に同期して駆動さ れるためにリ ズム音に同期して振動が発生する。 この時ホ トダイオー ド 2 6は振動に同期して点滅する。
このよ う に本発明の第 3実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置においても、 第 1実施形態と同様に、 携帯電話機において着信を音 (曲のメ ロディー) と振動で報知するよ う に設定した場合において、 音響と して出力される 曲のリ ズムと同期して振動が発生するので、 違和感がなく 、 楽しめる と いう効果が得られる。
次に振動源と してバイブレーショ ンスピーカを用いた振動源駆動装置 について第 4乃至第 9実施形態と して説明する。 まずバイ ブレーシ ョ ン スピ一力の構造を図 9 に示す。 同図において、 バイブレーショ ンスピー 力 5 0は、 コーン 5 2 の縁部がエッジ 5 4 を介してフ レーム 5 6 の上端 部に連結され支持されている。
コーン 5 2の中央部の裏面側には、 ボイスコイル 6 4 が卷回された、 ボイスコイルボビン 6 2が固定されており 、 マグネッ ト 6 0のポールピ —ス 6 0 Aに嵌装されている。 さ らにフ レーム 5 6 の下端はエッジ 5 8 を介してマグネッ ト 6 0 の上端部に連結されている。
上記構造のバイブレーショ ンス ピーカ 5 0 では、 コ一ン 5 2 を含む第 1 の振動系と、 マグネッ ト 6 0 を含む第 2の振動系との 2つの振動系を 有し、 第 2 の振動系は第 1 の振動系よ り低い周波数帯域で共振し、 振動 を発生する。 第 1 の振動系は第 1 の周波数帯域、 例えば、 5 0 0 H z 〜 1 k H z の周波数帯域で共振し、 マグネッ ト 6 0 は、 第 2の周波数帯域、 例えば、 1 3 0 H z 〜 1 4 5 H z で共振するよ う に設計されてレヽる。 コ ーン 5 2 は、 第 1 の 周波数帯域以上の周波数ではコーンが定加速度運 動をし、 フラ ッ トな音響出力となる。 マグネッ トはコーンよ り質量が大 きいので、 5 0 0 H z以上ではほとんど振動しなレ、。
また第 2 の振動系と してのマグネッ ト 6 0 は、 1 3 O H z 〜 l 4 5 H z で共振するよ うに設計されているが、 この第 2の周波数帯域の周波数 はコーンが共振する第 1 の周波数帯域の周波数よ り低いので、 コーン 5 2は振動しにく く 、 マグネッ ト 6 0のみが動き、 音にはならず、 振動が 発生する。 このよ う にそれぞれ、 異なる周波数帯域で第 1 の振動系を構 成するコーンによ り音響を発生し、 第 2の振動系を構成するマグネッ ト 6 0で振動を発生するよ う に構成されている。
なお、 本実施の形態に係るバイ ブレーシ ョ ンス ピーカ 5 0では、 第 2 の振動系と して、 マグネッ ト 6 0 を振動させるよ う に構成しているが、 これに限らず、 例えば、 マグネッ ト 6 0 の代わり に振動質量 (負荷質量) をコーンにコ ンプライ アンスを介在させて、 結合させ、 この振動質量を 第 2の振動系と して構成したものにも本発明は適用可能である。 すなわ ち、 少なく と も 1 つの開口部が設けられたフ レーム と 、 前記フ レームに 取り付けられた振動板と、 前記振動板にボビンを介して取り付けられた 励振コイルと、 前記励振コイルと の間に磁気駆動力を生じるよ う に配置 された磁気回路と、 所定の質量を有し、 機械的あるいは音響的コンブラ ィアンスを有する手段を介して、 前記振動板と結合された負荷とを具備 し、 前記励振コイルに低周波の電気信号が印加されたと き、 前記負荷と 前記振動板とが前記コ ンプライ アンスを有する手段を介して一体に振動 し、 前記励振コイルに音声周波数帯の電気信号が印加されたと き、 前記 コ ンプライアンスを有する手段によ り振動力がほぼ遮断され前記振動板 のみが振動し前記フ レームの前記開口部よ り発音するよ う にしたパイブ レ一シヨ ンス ピーカにも本発明は、 適用可能である。
〈第 4実施形態〉 次に、 本発明の第 4実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の構成を図 1 0 に 示す。 同図において、 第 4実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置は、 入力され る音楽データに基づいて楽音信号を生成する音源 (例えば、 F M音源) 1 0 と、 音源 1 0 の楽音信号をディジタル アナログ (D Z A ) 変換す る D Aコ ンバータ (D A C ) 7 0 と、 D Aコ ンパ一タ 7 0 の出力信号と 外部からのアナログ入力 (例えば、 音声信号) とを加算する加算手段と しての加算器 7 2 と、 入力信号を通過させる周波数帯域を外部から入力 される設定信号によ り変更可能に構成された可変フィルタ 7 4 と、 可変 フィルタ 7 4の出力信号に基づいて振動源と してのバイブレーショ ンス ピー力 5 0を駆動する駆動手段と しての増幅器 7 6 とを有している。 前記可変フィルタ 7 4 は、 図 1 1 に示すよ う に、 バイブレーショ ンス ピー力 5 0をバイブレータ と してのみ機能させる場合には、 上記第 2の 周波数帯域における上限周波数をカツ トオフ周波数 f c lとする口一パス フィルタの周波数特性 (曲線 a ) を有するよ うに、 またバイブレーシ ョ ンス ピーカ 5 0を、 音響信号を再生するス ピーカと して機能させる場合 には、 上記第 1の周波数帯域の下限周波数をカッ トオフ周波数 f c2とす るハイパスフィルタの周波数特性 (曲線 b ) を有するよ うに、 さらにバ イブレーシヨ ンス ピーカ 5 0を、 音響信号を再生し、 かつ振動を発生す るよ うに機能させる場合にはすべての信号を通過させるスルー状態とな るよ うにフィルタ定数が設定信号によ り設定されるよ うになっている。 また可変フィルタ 7 4 をスルー状態と してバイ ブレーショ ンスピーカ 5 0 によ り音響と振動とを発生させる場合において、 図 1 1 の曲線 dのよう に音響と振動の出力調整を行なう よ うに周波数特性を持たせる よ うにフィルタ定数を設定することによ り、 音響と振動の両者による新 しい効果を生み出すことができる。
上記構成において、 入力される音楽データに基づいて音源 1 0 よ り楽 音信号が生成され、 D Aコンバータ (D A C ) 7 0に入力される。 楽音 信号は D Aコンバータ (D A C ) 7 0 よ りアナログ信号に変換され加算 器 7 2で音声等のアナログ入力と加算され、 可変フィルタ 7 4 に入力さ れる。 可変フィルタ 7 4は、 予め着信の動作モー ドの設定に応じてフ ィ ルタ特性が設定される。 すなわち着信の報知を音 (曲のメ ロディー) の みにより行なうモー ド A、 振動のみで行なうモー ド B、 あるいは音と振 WO 01/28699 , lo c PCT/JP00/07378 動の両方で行なうモー ドじ、 のいずれかの動作モー ドを選択するこ と に よ り、 各動作モー ドに応じた設定信号によ り フィルタ特性 (周波数特性) が設定されている。
可変フィルタ 7 4 の出力信号は増幅器 7 6 によ り増幅され、 バイブレ —シ ヨ ンスピーカ 5 0 に印加される。 こ こでモー ド Aに設定されている 場合には、 可変フィルタ 7 4 はハイノ、。スフィルタになるよ う にフィルタ 定数が設定されており 、 バイブレーシ ョ ンス ピーカ 5 0からは、 音源 1 0から出力される楽音信号のう ち低域成分を除去した信号成分に基づく 音響または、 外部から入力された音声が出力される。 またモー ド Bに設 定されている場合に可変フィルタ 7 4 は、 ローパスフィルタになるよ う にフィルタ定数が設定されており 、 可変フィルタ 7 4 によ り音源 1 0 よ り 出力される音源信号の う ち低域成分のみ抽出されるので、 バイプレ一 ショ ンス ピー力 5 0は、 マグネッ ト 6 0のみが駆動され、 振動を発生す る。
またモー ド Cに設定されている場合に可変フィ ルタ 7 4 は、 スルー状 態になる よ う にフィルタ定数が設定されており 、 音源 1 0 よ り 出力され る音源信号または音声などのアナログ信号がすべて可変フィルタ 7 4 を 通過し、 バイ ブレーシ ョ ンス ピーカ 5 0 に印加されるので、 着信時に楽 音信号に基づく コーン 5 2の振動による音響または音声と、 楽音信号の 低域成分によ りバイ ブレーシ ョ ンスピーカ 5 0 のマグネッ ト 6 0が駆動 されるこ とによる振動とが発生する。
本発明の第 4実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置によれば、 携帯電話機等 のバイブレーショ ン機能の実現手段と して、 バイブレーシ ョ ンス ピーカ を振動源と して用いた場合に複雑な回路構成を用いずに通常のスピーカ ドライブアンプで駆動できる。
また携帯電話機において着信を音 (曲のメ ロディー) と振動で報知す るよ う に設定した場合において、 音響と して出力される曲のリ ズムと同 期して振動が発生するので、 違和感がなく 、 楽しめる とい う効果も得ら れる。
く第 5実施形態〉
次に本発明の第 5実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の構成を図 1 2 に示 す。
本実施の形態に係る振動源駆動装置が第 4の実施の形態に係る振動源駆 動装置と構成上、 異なるのは、 可変フィルタを用いずに、 音源 1 0 よ り 楽音信号及び振動用信号を出力させ、 楽音信号または音声と、 D Aコ ン バ一タ 7 8 、 口一パスフィルタ 8 0 を通過した振動用信号を新たに設け た加算器 8 2 によ り加算してバイブレーショ ンス ピ一力の 5 0 の駆動信 号と したものであり 、 他の構成は第 4実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置と 同一であるので、 同一の要素には同一の符号を付し、 重複する説明は省 略する。
同図において、 第 5実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置は、 入力される音 楽データに基づいて楽音信号を生成する と共に、 振動用信号生成する音 源 (例えば、 F M音源) 1 0 と、 音源 1 0 の楽音信号をディジタル ア ナログ (DZA) 変換する D Aコ ンバータ (D A C ) 7 0 と、 D Aコ ン バータ 7 0 の出力信号と外部からのアナログ入力 (例えば、 音声信号) とを加算する加算器 7 2 と、 音源 1 0から出力される振動用信号をディ ジタル アナログ (DZA) 変換する D Aコンバータ (D A C ) 7 8 と、 D Aコ ンバータ 7 8 の出力信号から高調波成分を除去する口一パス ブ イ ルタ 8 0 と、 加算器 7 2 の出力信号と 口一パスフィルタ 8 0 の出力信号 とを加算する加算手段と しての加算器 8 2 と、 加算器 8 2 の出力信号に 基づいて振動源と してのバイブレーショ ンス ピーカ 5 0 を駆動する駆動 手段と しての増幅器 7 6 とを有している。
こ こで音源 1 0は、 例えば、 F M音源であ り 、 この音源 1 0 よ り 出力 される振動用信号は、 バイブレ一ショ ンス ピーカ 5 0 の第 2 の振動系を 構成するマグネッ ト 6 0が共振する第 2 の周波数帯域 ( 1 3 0 H z 〜 l 4 5 H z ) に対応する周波数帯域の信号であり 、 種々の方法によ り生成 される。 例えば、 F M音源のピッチ設定機能を使用して周波数の異なる 複数の s i n波をつなぐことによ り振動用信号を生成することができる (図 1 3 ( A) ) 。
また時間の経過につれて信号の周波数を連続的に変化させ (図 1 3 ( B ) ) 、 あるいは時間の経過につれて周波数をステップ状に変化させ る (図 1 3 ( C) ) ことによ り上記第 2の周波数帯域 ( 1 3 0 H z 〜 l 4 5 H z ) に対応する周波数帯域の振動用信号を生成することができる。 さ らに、 上記第 2の周波数帯域 ( 1 3 0 H z 〜 : 1 4 5 H z ) の中心周波 数 f 0を中心に一定幅で時間の経過につれて周波数を変化させるこ とに より上記第 2の周波数帯域 ( 1 3 0 Η ζ〜 1 4 5 H z ) に対応する周波 数帯域の振動用信号を生成することができる (図 1 3 (D) ) 。
さ らに音源 1 0に内蔵された AM変調部で搬送波を AM変調してする ことによ り、 すなわち F M音源のエンベロープ設定機能を利用して側波 帯を発生させ、 周波数スぺク トラムを分散させることによ り上記第 2の 周波数帯域 ( 1 3 0 Η ζ 〜 1 4 5 H z ) に対応する周波数帯域の振動用 信号を生成することができる (図 1 4 ) 。 また振動用信号を生成する場 合に、 図 1 5 ( A) に示すよ うな振動用信号の立ち上がり部分 Xにおい て、 高調波が発生する。 これを回避するために図 1 5 ( B ) に示すよ う に、 F M音源のピッチ設定機能及びエンベロープ設定機能を利用して振 動用信号の振幅を滑らかに変化させ、 かつ周波数を時間経過につれて変 化させるよ うにすることによ り上記第 2の周波数帯域 ( 1 3 0 H z 〜 l 4 5 H z ) に対応する周波数帯域の振動用信号を生成することができる。 上記以外の手法と しては、 図 1 6に示すよ うに搬送波を多重変調して 側波帯を発生させ、 周波数スぺク トラムを分散させて第 2の周波数帯域 ( 1 3 0 Η ζ 〜 1 4 5 H z ) の中心周波数 f 0付近の多重音を発生する ことによ り、 上記第 2の周波数帯域に対応する周波数帯域の振動用信号 を生成することができる。 図 1 6において、 例えば、 f 1 = 1 3 0、 f 2 = 1 3 2、 f 3= 1 3 4 , f 4= 1 3 6 、 f 5= 1 3 8 H z である。 更に図 1 7に示すように、 低周波信号 (図 1 7 ( A ) ) に高調波を重 畳することにより信号波形を歪ませた信号を振動用信号と して音源 1 0 よ り発生させ、 この信号によ りバイブレーショ ンスピーカ 5 0 を駆動す ることにより、 振動感を変化させることが可能である。
また本実施の形態では振動源と してバイプレーショ ンス ピーカを用い ているが、 携帯電話機のパイブレータを構成する振動用モータを使用す る場合には、 図 1 8に示すよ うに振動用モータの振動パターン (振動の 周波数と振幅) をシミ ュ レー ト して作成した信号を振動用信号、 すなわ ち振動用モータの駆動信号と して使用することが考えられる。
図 1 2に示す構成において、 音源 1 0から楽音信号と、 振動用信号が それぞれ、 D Aコ ンバータ 7 0 、 7 8 に出力される。 D Aコンバータ 7 0では楽音信号がアナ口グ信号に変換され、 音声等のアナ口グ入力と加 算器 7 2 で加算される。 この加算器 7 2の出力、 すなわち楽音信号また は音声信号がィャフォ ン (またはヘッ ドフォ ン) または加算器 8 2に出 力される。
一方、 振動用信号は D Aコンバータ 7 8でアナログ信号に変換され、 口一パス フィ ルタ 8 0 で高調波成分が除去され、 加算器 8 2 で楽音信号 または音声信号と加算される。 このよ うにして楽音信号または音声信号 と、 振動用信号との加算出力が増幅器 7 6によ り増幅され、 バイブレー シヨ ンス ピーカ 5 0 に印加される。 バイブレーシ ョ ンス ピーカ 5 0 では 既述した第 1 の周波数帯域において楽音信号または音声信号に基づく音 響が発生すると共に、 第 2 の周波数帯域において音源 1 0によ り生成さ れた振動用信号に基づく振動が発生する。
本発明の第 5実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置によれば、 携帯電話機等 のバイブレーショ ン機能の実現手段と して、 バイ ブレーショ ンスピーカ を振動源と して用いた場合に複雑な回路構成を用いずに通常のス ピーカ ドライブアンプで駆動でき る。
また携帯電話機において着信を音 (曲のメロディー) と振動で報知す るよ うに設定した場合において、 音源で生成した振動用信号によ り趣の 異なる振動を発生させることができるので、 違和感がなく 、 楽しめる と いう効果も得られる。
〈第 6実施形態〉
次に、 本発明の第 6実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の構成を図 1 9に 示す。 第 6実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置が第 5実施形態に係る振動源 駆動装置と構成上、 異なるのは、 新たにディジタルフィルタ 8 4を設け、 振動源と してのバイブレ一ショ ンスピーカ 5 0 のを駆動する振動用信号 を音源 1 0内に設けられているランダムノィズ発生器 1 0 Aにより出力 されるランダムノイズからディジタルフィルタ 8 4 によ りバイブレーシ ョ ンスピーカ 5 0におけるマグネッ ト 6 0が共振する第 2 の周波数帯域 の中心周波数 f 0付近の周波数帯域の信号を抽出し、 この信号を振動用 信号と して使用するよ うにした点であり、 その他の構成は同一であるの で重複する説明を省略する。
本発明の第 6実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置によっても、 第 5の実施 の形態に係る振動源駆動装置と同様に、 携帯電話機等のパイブレーシ ョ ン機能の実現手段と して、 バイ ブレーショ ンス ピーカを振動源と して用 いた場合に複雑な回路構成を用いずに通常のス ピーカ ドライブアンプで 駆動できる、 という効果が得られる。
く第 7実施形態〉
次に、 本発明の第 7実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の構成を図 2 0 に 示す。 第 7実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置が図 1 2に示した第 5実施形 態に係る振動源駆動装置と構成上、 異なるのは、 図 1 2において加算器 7 2 と加算器 8 2 と の間に積分回路 9 0 と、 積分回路 9 0 の出力信号に 基づいてゲインが制御される電圧制御型増幅器 9 2 とを設けた点であり その他の構成は同一であるので、 同一の要素には同一の符号を付し、 重 複する説明を省略する。
第 7実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置では、 携帯電話機で音と振動の両 方で同時に着信を報知するよ う設定した場合にバイブレーショ ンスピー 力 5 0 のマグネッ ト 6 0 を駆動するこ とによ り発生する振動によ り楽音 信号が変調を受けるのでこれを除去するものである。
図 2 0 において、 携帯電話機で音と振動の両方で同時に着信を報知す るよ う設定した場合には、 音源 1 0 よ り楽音信号と振動用信号が、 それ ぞれ、 D Aコンバータ (D A C ) 7 0、 7 8 に出力される。 楽音信号は、 D Aコンバータ 7 0 によ り アナログ信号に変換され、 加算器 7 2で外部 からのアナロ グ入力 (例えば、 音声) 加算され、 積分回路 9 0 に出力さ れる。 また振動用信号は、 D Aコンバータ 7 8 によ り アナログ信号に変 换されロ ーパスフィルタ 8 0 によ り高調波成分を除去された後、 加算器
8 2 に出力される。 さ らに振動用信号は、 加算器 8 2で電圧制御型増幅 器 9 2 の出力信号と加算され、 増幅器 7 6 を介してバイ ブレーショ ンス ピー力 5 0に印加される。 また加算器 8 2 の出力はィャフォンまたはへ ッ ドフォ ンに出力される。
一方、 バイ ブレーショ ンス ピーカ 5 0 のマグネッ ト 6 0 を駆動する こ とによ り発生する振動によ り楽音信号が A M変調を受けるので積分回路
9 0 において加算器 7 2 の出力信号からバイブレーショ ンスピーカ 5 0 におけるマグネッ ト 6 0振動波形を検出し、 積分回路 9 0 の出力信号に 基づいて電圧制御型増幅器のゲイ ンが制御される こ とによ り加算器 7 2 の出力信号の A M変調成分が逆補正され、 この結果、 楽音信号における バイブレーショ ンスピーカ 5 0のマグネッ トの駆動に起因する変調成分 が低減される。
このよ う に本発明の第 7実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置によれば、 積 分回路 9 0 において楽音信号と外部入力信号とを加算する加算器 7 2 の 出力信号からバイブレ一ショ ンス ピーカ 5 0 におけるマグネッ ト 6 0振 動波形を検出し、 積分回路 9 0 の出力信号に基づいて電圧制御型増幅器 のゲインを制御する こ とによ り加算器 7 2の出力信号の A M変調成分を 逆補正するよ う にしたので、 携帯電話機で音と振動の両方で同時に着信 を報知するよ う設定した場合にバイブレーショ ンスピーカ 5 0 のマグネ ッ ト 6 0 を駆動することによ り発生する振動に起因する楽音信号におけ る変調成分を低減することができる。
く第 8実施形態〉
次に、 本発明の第 8実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の構成を図 2 1 に 示す。 第 8実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置は、 音源よ り出力される楽音 信号のう ち低域成分を除去した信号と、 音源よ り 出力される楽音信号の うちのリ ズムに同期した振動用信号とを加算し、 この加算出力によ りバ イブレーショ ンスピーカを駆動するよ うにしたものである。
図 2 1 において、 本実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置は、 携帯電話機に おいて着信を音 (曲のメ ロディー) と振動で報知するよ うに設定した場 合において、 入力される音楽データに基づいて楽音信号を生成する と共 に、 該楽音信号のうちリズムデ一タに基づいてこのリズムデータに同期 した振動用信号を生成する音源 (例えば、 F M音源) 1 0 と、 音源 1 0 の楽音信号をディジタル アナログ (D / A ) 変換する D Aコ ンバータ ( D A C ) 7 0 と、 D Aコンバータ 7 0の出力信号と外部からのアナ口 グ入力 (例えば、 音声信号) とを加算する加算器 7 2 と、 音源 1 0から 出力される振動用信号をディジタル アナログ (Dノ A ) 変換する D A コ ンバータ (D A C ) 7 8 と、 D Aコ ンバータ 7 8 の出力信号から高調 波成分を除去するローパスフィルタ 8 0 とを有している。
さらに、 本実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置は、 加算器 7 2 の出力信号 のうち低域成分を除去し、 高域成分のみを抽出するハイパスフィルタ 1 0 4 と、 ノヽィパスブイノレタ 1 0 4 の出力信号とローパス フィ /レタ 8 0 の 出力信号とを加算する加算手段と しての加算器 8 2 と、 加算器 8 2 の出 力信号に基づいて振動源と してのバイブレーショ ンス ピーカ 5 0を駆動 する駆動手段と しての増幅器 7 6 と、 加算器 7 2から出力される楽音信 号の低域成分を抽出する口一パスフィ ルタ 1 0 0 と、 ローパス フィ ルタ 1 0 0 の出力信号を検波し、 リ ズムデータを検出し音源に出力する検波 回路 1 0 2 と を有している。 口一パスフィルタ 1 0 0及び検波回路 1 0 2は、 本発明のリ ズムデータ検出手段に相当する。
上記構成において、 携帯電話機で着信を音 (曲のメ ロディー) と振動 で報知するよ う に設定した場合において、 音源 1 0は、 入力される音楽 データに基づいて楽音信号を D Aコ ンバータ 7 0 に出力する。 D Aコ ン バ一タ 7 0で楽音信号はアナロ グ信号に変換され、 外部から入力される アナログ信号 (例えば、 音声信号) と加算器 7 2で加算され、 ハイパス フィルタ 1 0 4及び口一パスフィルタ 1 0 0 に出力される。 楽音信号は ローパスフィルタ 1 0 0でその低域成分が抽出され、 検波回路 1 0 2 で 検波されてリ ズムデータ と して音源 1 0 に出力される。 音源 1 0では、 検波回路 1 0 2から出力されたリ ズムデータに同期した振動用信号を生 成し、 D Aコンバータ 7 8 に出力する。 振動用信号は D Aコ ンバータ 7 8 でアナロ グ信号に変換され、 ローパスフィルタ 8 0 で高調波成分が除 去され、 加算器 8 2 に出力される。
加算器 8 2 ではハイパスフィルタ 1 0 4 の出力信号と ローパスフィ ル タ 8 0の出力信号とが、 すなわち低域成分が除去された楽音信号と、 楽 音信号の うち リ ズムデータに同期した振動用信号とが加算され、 駆動手 段と しての増幅器 7 6 に出力される。 増幅器 7 6 は、 加算器 8 2 の出力 信号に基づいてバイ ブレーショ ンスピーカ 5 0 を駆動する。
本発明の第 8実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置によれば、 携帯電話機等 のバイブレーショ ン機能の実現手段と して、 バイブレーショ ンスピーカ を振動源と して用いた場合に複雑な回路構成を用いずに通常のスピーカ ドライブアンプで駆動でき る、 とい う効果が得られる。 また携帯電話 機において着信を音 (曲のメ ロディー) と振動で報知するよ う に設定し た場合において、 音響と して出力される曲のリ ズムと同期して振動が発 生するので、 違和感がなく 、 楽しめる という効果も得られる。
く第 9実施形態〉
次に本発明の第 9実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置の要部の構成を図 2 2に示す。 本実施の形態に係る振動源駆動装置が第 8の実施の形態に係 る振動源駆動装置と構成上、 こ となるのは、 第 8 の実施の形態に係る振 動源駆動装置ではローパスフィルタ 1 0 0及び検波回路 1 0 2によ り リ ズムデータを検出しているが、 この代わり に音源に入力される音楽デ一 タから信号処理回路 2 0 0 によ り リ ズムデータを抽出し、 この リ ズムデ ータを音源に供給するこ と によ り リ ズムデータに同期した振動用信号を 音源から生成させるよ う にした点であり 、 他の構成は同一であるので、 重複する説明は省略する。
本発明の第 9実施形態に係る振動源駆動装置においても、 第 8の実施 の形態に係る振動源駆動装置と同様に携帯電話機等のバイブレーショ ン 機能の実現手段と して、 バイブレーショ ンス ピーカを振動源と して用い た場合に複雑な回路構成を用いずに通常のス ピーカ ドライブアンプで駆 動できる、 という効果が得られる。
また携帯電話機において着信を音 (曲のメ ロディー) と振動で報知す るよ う に設定した場合において、 音響と して出力される曲のリ ズムと同 期して振動が発生するので、 違和感がなく 、 楽しめる という効果も得ら れる。

Claims

請 求 の 範 囲
1 . 楽音信号を生成する音源と、
振動を発生する振動源と、
前記音源から出力される楽音信号のう ち低域成分を抽出する信号抽出 手段と、
該信号抽出手段によ り抽出された低域成分の楽音信号に基づいて前記 振動源を駆動する駆動手段と、
を有する振動源駆動装置。
2 . 楽音信号を生成する音源と、
振動を発生する振動源と、
該振動源を駆動する駆動手段と、
前記音源と振動源との間に設けられたスィ ッチ手段と、
該スィ ッチ手段を前記音源から出力される楽音信号のうちリ ズム信号 の出力タイ ミ ングに基づいて前記スィ ツチ手段をオン、 オフ制御するこ とにより前記リ ズム信号に同期して前記振動源を駆動するよ う に前記駆 動手段を制御する制御手段と、
を有する振動源駆動装置。
3 . 楽音信号を生成する音源と、 第 1 の周波数帯域で共振する第 1 の 振動系と、 第 1 の周波数よ り低い第 2 の周波数帯域で共振する第 2 の振動系とを備え、 第 1 の振動系によ り音響を発生し、 第 2の振動 系によ り振動を発生する振動源と、
該音源から出力される楽音信号の信号通過帯域を外部から入力される 設定信号によ り変更可能に構成された可変フィルタと、
該可変フィルタの出力に基づいて前記振動源を駆動する駆動手段と、 を有し、 前記可変フィルタは、 前記振動源をバイ ブレータと してのみ機能させ る場合には、 前記第 2 の周波数帯域における略上限周波数をカツ トオフ 周波数とする口一パスフィルタ に、 また前記振動源を、 音響信号を再生 するスピーカと して機能させる場合には、 前記第 1 の周波数帯域の略下 限周波数をカッ トオフ周波数とするハイパスフィルタに、 更に前記振動 源を、 音響信号を再生し、 かつ振動を発生するよ うに機能させる場合に はすべての信号を通過させるスルー状態とするよ うにフィルタ定数が前 記設定信号により設定される振動源駆動装置。
4 . 楽音信号及び振動用信号を生成する音源と、
第 1 の周波数帯域で共振する第 1 の振動系と、 第 1 の周波数よ り低い 第 2 の周波数帯域で共振する第 2 の振動系とを備え、 第 1 の振動系によ り音響を発生し、 第 2 の振動系により振動を発生する振動源と、
前記音源から出力される楽音信号と振動用信号を加算する加算手段と、 該加算手段の出力信号に基づいて前記振動源を駆動する駆動手段と、 を有する振動源駆動装置。
5 . 音楽データに基づいて楽音信号を生成し、 かつ楽音データのう ち リズムデータに基づいて該リズムデータに同期した振動用信号を生成す る音源と、
第 1 の周波数帯域で共振する第 1 の振動系と、 第 1 の周波数より低い 第 2 の周波数帯域で共振する第 2 の振動系とを備え、 第 1 の振動系によ り音響を発生し、 第 2 の振動系により振動を発生する振動源と、
前記音源から出力される楽音信号から リ ズムデータを検出し、 前記音 源に出力する リ ズムデータ検出手段と、
前記楽音信号のうち低音部を除去するハイパスフィルタ と、
前記振動用信号のうち高調波成分を除去する口一パスフィルタ と 、 前記ハイパスフィ ルタの出力信号と前記口 一パスフィルタの出力信号 とを加算する加算手段と、
該加算手段の出力信号に基づいて前記振動源を駆動する駆動手段と を有する振動源駆動装置。
6 . 前記振動源は、 バイ ブレーショ ンスピーカである ことを特徴 とする特許請求の範囲第 3項乃至第 5項に記載の振動源駆動装置。
