Thwe borderieces, which may be made of any suitable d of sheet-metal, possess two opposed grooves with high sides, fitting into or with each other. In this manner a rigid connection of the trunk body and lid is insured when the trunk is closed. The tightness of the joint can further be increased by lining the groove (f), or the lid-edge if), or both, with some soft material, suc as for instance, velvet.
