2 Claims.

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in toys, and more particularly to a figure toy.

An important object of the present invention is to provide a figure toywherein the face of the toy can be changed from time to time to afford a doll of different facial expressions.

Another important object of the invention is to provide a doll which can be readily taken apart or extended in size.

Still another important object of the invention is to provide a doll of sectional construction wherein the doll can be taken apart for the purpose of convenient repair or replacement of parts.

Numerous other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent to the reader of the following specification,

Referring to the drawings wherein like numerals designate like parts, it can be seen that 40 the invention as disclosed in this application involves two head forms, Figures 1 to 5 inclusive, and the other in Figures 6 to 8 inclusive, and further, a body construction disclosed in Figure 6.

It can be seen in Figure 1, that numeral 5 rep resents the body of a doll having the usual arms 5 and legs 1. The shoulder portions are constructed'in such a manner as to accommodate the downwardly flaring formation 8 of the head which is generally referred to by numeral 9. In other words, the chest and shoulder portions of the doll can be built up around the downwardly flaring portion 8 which flares downwardly from the neck ID. Having described the claimed as new is:

1. A doll provided with interchangeable faces comprising a head portion made in the general form of the head of a human and having an enlarged and relatively flat front portion, said front portion being plain but slightly convex for forming a blank face portion for the head, a flexible member having the representation of a human invention, what is face on its front and means for-detachably holding thesflexible member in close contact with the said front portion of the head, the means for holding the flexible member to the head comprising a substantially oval rib at the periphery of the face portion with a. slot in its top portion for receiving the flexible member and said rib having an internal channel for receiving portions of the flexible member, the inner wall of the channel and the inner wall of the slot forming continuation of the face portion of the head. 2. A doll provided with interchangeable faces comprising a head portion made in the general form of the head of a. human and having an enlarged and relatively flat front portion, said front portion being plain but slightly convex for forming a blank face portion for the head, a flexible member having the representation of a human face on its front and means for detachably holding the flexible member in close contact with the said front portion of the head, said means for detachably connecting the flexible member to the face portion including channel means on the head receiving edge portions of the flexible member.
