Abstract

A feeding device of a character bending machine includes a supporting roller (2), the supporting roller (2) is rotatably mounted on a body of the character bending machine (1) and positioned corresponding to a cutter. A feeding rollers pair (3) for gripping the fed strip is arranged on both sides of the supporting roller (2). The feeding rollers pair (3) includes two oppositely arranged feeding rollers (31). Both of the feeding rollers (31) are rotatably mounted on the body of the character bending machine (1). A feeding gap is formed between the two opposite feeding rollers (31). So the technical problem that feeding device is provided with complex structure, strip is easy to be scratched and cut angle is difficult to be ensured at present is solved.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to the technical field of a character bending machine for three-dimensional luminous characters, particularly to a feeding device used for a character bending machine.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
  • As night falls, neon flashes on advertising boards, store signs, road signs and so forth on both sides of roads, in front of doors and on buildings. Every city is decorated as a city that never sleeps with the three-dimensional luminous characters. It can be seen that the application of three-dimensional luminous characters is wider and wider. At present, three-dimensional luminous characters are usually manufactured in two ways: by hand or mechanically manufactured using character bending machine. Hand-making is gradually replaced by character bending machine because the former is difficult to ensure the quality of the bent characters and the efficiency is low.
  • A character bending machine usually consists of a tray, a feeding device, a cutting device and a bending device. At present, a feeding device mostly uses feeding driving rollers to drive strip to be conveyed downstream on back plate, then a corner can be be cut by a cutter and pressed by a pressing plate. In the whole process the friction between the strip and the back plate is sliding friction, and that between the strip and the pressing plate is also sliding friction, which inevitably scratches the surface of the strip and affects the quality of three-dimensional luminous characters. Furthermore, when the cutter is cutting corner, the position on the back plate corresponding to the cutter is arranged with a notch, and certain deformation of the strip occurs as the cutter and the strip contact, thus the cutting angle will be inaccurate and the quality of the three-dimensional luminous characters will also be affected.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The technical problem to be solved by the invention is: providing a feeding device of character bending machine to solve the technical problem that feeding device is provided with complex structure, strip is easy to be scratched and an precise cutting angle is difficult to be ensured at present.
  • In order to solve the above technical problem, the technical solution defined in the invention is that: a feeding device of character bending machine includes a supporting roller, the supporting roller is rotatably mounted on a body of the character bending machine and positioned corresponding to a cutter; a feeding rollers pair for gripping the fed strip is arranged on both sides of the supporting roller, the feeding rollers pair includes two oppositely arranged feeding rollers, both of the feeding rollers are rotatably mounted on the body of the character bending machine, and a feeding gap is formed between the two opposite feeding rollers.
  • As an improvement, an encoder which is fixedly mounted on the body of the character bending machine is arranged at the end of the supporting roller.
  • As a further improvement, the surface of the feeding rollers is coated with elastic materials.
  • By adopting the above technical solution, the beneficial effects of the invention are that: because of the design of a supporting roller positioned corresponding to a cutter, the roller supports the strip from the back of it when a corner is cut. Thus it effectively solves the problem of inaccuracy of the cutting angle caused by the deformation of a strip when the cutter contacts against the strip; because of the replacement of conventional back plate with the feeding rollers and the supporting roller which are both rotatably mounted on the body of the character bending machine, the sliding friction of the strip conveying changes to rolling friction, which reduces the friction coefficient and avoids the scratch of the surface of the strip effectively; and by using the feeding rollers pair on both sides of the supporting roller to convey the strip, the feeding rollers pair is capable of playing both conveying as well as corner-pressing roles and replaces conventional pressing plate, which further protects the surface of the strip from being scratched.
  • Because an encoder is arranged at the end of the supporting roller, actual conveying length of the strip is able to be recorded according to rotation number and this value is the most accurate. In case that error of the recorded data appears because of the slipping of the feeding driving roller, the conveying length of the strip is able to be compensated and remedied in time to ensure that the length of the cut strip is accurate, where the supporting roller is capable of playing both supporting as well as length-fixing roles for the strip, also the structure is simple and compact.
  • Because the surface of the feeding rollers is coated with elastic materials, the effect is allowed to be better when the feeding rollers pair grips and conveys the strip, which effectively prevents the feeding rollers from sliding and further protects the surface of the strip from being scratched.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • In conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiment, the further description of the invention will be given as follows.
  • As shown in both of FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a feeding device of a character bending machine includes a supporting roller 2, the supporting roller 2 is rotatably mounted on a body of the character bending machine 1 and positioned corresponding to a cutter. A feeding rollers pair 3 for gripping the fed strip is arranged on both sides of the supporting roller 2. The feeding rollers pair 3 includes two oppositely arranged feeding rollers 31. Both of the feeding rollers 31 are rotatably mounted on the body of the character bending machine 1. A feeding gap is formed between the two opposite feeding rollers 31. The supporting roller 2 is arranged to be aligned with the back one of the feeding rollers 31, and both of them support and move forward the strip. Because the supporting roller 2 and the feeding rollers 31 are rotatably mounted on the body of the character bending machine 1, scratch of the strip is effectively avoided during conveying.
  • An encoder 4 is arranged at the end of the supporting roller 2, which is fixedly mounted on the body of the character bending machine 1, in order to compensate the difference between an actual conveying length and a theoretic conveying length of the strip, which is caused by the slipping of a feeding active roller.
  • In order to improve the conveying and protect the strip from being scratched, the surface of the feeding rollers 31 is coated with elastic materials. The preferred elastic material is usually polyurethane, and other similar polymer materials can also be selected.
  • When in use, the supporting roller 2 and the back one of the feeding rollers 31 of the feeding rollers pair 3 are aligned, and both of them support and move forward the strip. The feeding driving roller drives the strip to move forward. At the same time, according to the theoretic conveying length the feeding driving roller sets a rotation number. Feeding will stop when the rotation number is reached. The feeding rollers pair 3 grips the strip to be conveyed downstream. The cutter may cut the strip at a desired angle if a corner is needed. During the conveying of the strip, the encoder 4 at the end of the supporting roller 2 records data of the actual conveying length of the strip at the same time. When the difference between the actual conveying length and the theoretic conveying length appears, the encoder 4 will transmit the difference value to a control system, and the control system will control the feeding diving roller to feed further, so as to compensate the difference value and ensure the accuracy of the conveying length.
  • The invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various changes made by an ordinary person skilled in the art according to the above conception without creative work should be within the scope of the invention.
  • INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
  • 1. Because of the design of a supporting roller positioned corresponding to a cutter, the roller supports the strip from the back of it when a corner is cut. Thus it effectively solves the problem of inaccuracy of the cutting angle caused by the deformation of a strip when the cutter contacts against the strip; because of the replacement of conventional back plate with the feeding rollers and the supporting roller which are both rotatably mounted on the body of the character bending machine, the sliding friction of the strip conveying changes to rolling friction, which reduces the friction coefficient and avoids the scratch of the surface of the strip effectively; and by using the feeding rollers pair on both sides of the supporting roller to convey the strip, the feeding rollers pair is capable of playing both conveying as well as corner-pressing roles and replaces conventional pressing plate, which further protects the surface of the strip from being scratched.
  • 2. Because an encoder is arranged at the end of the supporting roller, actual conveying length of the strip is able to be recorded according to rotation number and this value is the most accurate. In case that error of the recorded data appears because of the slipping of the feeding active roller, the conveying length of the strip is able to be compensated and remedied in time to ensure that the length of the cut strip is accurate, where the supporting roller is capable of playing both supporting as well as length-fixing roles for the strip, also the structure is simple and compact.
  • 3. Because the surface of the feeding rollers is coated with elastic materials, the effect is allowed to be better when the feeding rollers pair grips and conveys the strip, which effectively prevents the feeding rollers from sliding and further protects the surface of the strip from being scratched.

Claims (3)

1. A feeding device of a character bending machine, comprising a supporting roller, the supporting roller is rotatably mounted on a body of the character bending machine and positioned corresponding to a cutter; a feeding rollers pair for gripping the fed strip is arranged on both sides of the supporting roller, the feeding rollers pair includes two oppositely arranged feeding rollers, both of the feeding rollers are rotatably mounted on the body of the character bending machine, and a feeding gap is formed between the two opposite feeding rollers.
2. The feeding device of character bending machine of claim 1, further comprising an encoder which is fixedly mounted on the body of the character. bending machine is arranged at an end of the supporting roller.
3. The feeding device of character bending machine of claim 1, wherein the surface of the feeding rollers is coated with elastic materials.
