To all whom it may concern: Be 1t known that I, CHARLES OREARDON, a

citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Adjustable Knives and Jaws for Pliers; and do hereby declare the followingto be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled to which it appertains to make and use the same, the accompanying drawings, andto the letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

The interchangeable knife and jaw plate shown in Fig. 5 is designated by letter K and has a cutting edge N with a shouldered portion N, which is adapted to engage the recessedand shouldered portions E and F respectively ofthe jaw, as shown. Projecting from the rear face of the jaw plate K is a ribQ which, when the device is adjusted in place, engag'esfthe transverse groove H. A set screw T is passed through an aperture in the shank portion of the knife and engages'a threaded aperture in the jaw of the pliers, and aifords means for securely holding the interchangeable knife and jaw plate.
