Abstract

The spatial monitoring sensor has smoke and temp. sensors (2,3) operating on different physical principals integrated in a common housing and one or more interfaces (8,13) for connection to a fire alarm (7) and/or building control (11) centre for transferring the sensor measurement signals. One or more sensors are deployed and the measurement signal ranges (4,5,8,13) are selected to enable continuous measurement value detection, processing and/or transmission over the entire conventional range of monitored parameters up to the hazardous region.
