Wie sich aus Fig. 4 ergibt, besteht der Hohlkasten 12 lediglich aus dem oberen Lagerbalken 44 und einem identischen unteren Lagerbalken, die beide durch Stirnwände miteinander zu einem starren Gehäuse verbunden sind, das durch abnehmbare Seitenwände geschlossen ist, die die Wechselplatten 10; 11 bilden. Jeder Lagerbalken besteht aus zwei Hälften, die in der Stirnwandmitte zusammenstossen. Claims (8)

1. A change plate (10; 11) for automatic punching and bending machines, which change plate carries tool carriage units (20) and their drives (40, 42) and which can be placed on the front side of a hollow case (12) with drive equipment (48-54), and is screw-fastenable thereon, and which has an upper and a lower bore arrangement (14; 16), through which project the drive shafts (40) of the tool carriage units (20) which are each provided with a pinion (42); and which has an oblong machining aperture (34; 35) which lies symmetrically between the two bore arrangements (14, 16) in the central region of the change plate (10; 11); characterised in that the two bore arrangements are constructed in the form of rows of bores (14, 16) which extend linearly parallel to one another, and in that the machining aperture (34; 35) extends in the middle between the rows of bores (14, 16) and parallel thereto and substantially over the entire length of the change plate (10; 11); in that in the hollow case (12) two rows of drive wheels (50) are arranged, each drive wheel (50) having a hollow toothing in which the pinion (42) of the drive shaft (40) of the tool carriage unit (20) drivingly engages, and each drive wheel (50) is aligned with a bore (14; 16) of the assembled change plate (10; 11) and is connected with a coaxial belt pulley (48) around which are looped two adjacently-lying belts (52, 54) each of which are looped around one of the two adjacent belt puiicyd (40).
2. A change plate according to Claim 1, characterised in that the machining aperture consists of a plurality of recesses (35) which are equal in size and are separated from one another by wall webs, and each one of which is aligned with two vertically aligned bores (14,16) of the two rows of bores.
3. A change plate according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that on the machining aperture (34; 35) there is constructed, extending over its entire length, sliding guide means (30, 32) for workpiece carriers (28) of rectangular format.
4. A change plate according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, which is divided into two halves, characterised in that the dividing line (10c) lies parallel to the rows of bores (14, 16) and bisects the distance by which they are spaced apart.
5. A change plate according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, which is divided into two halves, characterised in that the dividing line (10f) extends at a right angle to the rows of bores (14,16).
6. A change plate according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that arranged on both sides of each belt pulley (48) there is in each case a drive wheel (50) which is fixedly connected thereto, and in that the unit (46) which consists of belt pulley (48) and the two drive wheels (50) is mounted rotatably in a bearing beam (44) which extends over the entire length of the hollow case (12).
7. A change plate according to any one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the end belt pulleys (48) arranged on belt pulleys (48) are in each case drivingly connected together at an end of the upper and lower row by means of a synchronising belt (56; 60).
8. A change plate according to any one of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the change plate is secured on an upper bearing beam (44) and on an identical lower bearing beam, both of which beams are connected together by opposed end walls so as to form a rigid housing.
