'We look back and cherish the time we have spent together, the memories we have created, in both Spain and in Australia,' the caption continued.
'We can’t thank each and everyone of you enough, for the support and love you have shown us, but we have to be honest within ourselves as we realise that our forever as a couple, is no longer.
'We look forward to supporting each other moving forward and remain best friends.
The couple met while filming the first season of the Channel Nine dating show in Majorca, Spain which kicked off at the end of May this year.
Despite experiencing a relationship with lots of ups and downs on-screen, the duo ultimately placed second in the competition's grand finale in July.
However, the romance wasn't to last and the split comes after weeks of break-up rumours.
Fellow reality stars were quick to shower the pair with support in the wake of the sad news, with Love Island's Charlie Taylor commenting, 'Here for you both', while Edyn 'Mac' Mackney offered up multiple love heart emojis.
The Block's Hayden and Sara also weighed in, writing 'Oh no! We made it through The Block and we are still together. We were hoping you guys would make it last too.'
Love Island star Natasha Webster also offered her condolences, writing: 'So sad. Here for you guys.'
On Friday night, fuel was added to speculation that Erin and Eden had gone their separate ways when the prison guard celebrated his 26th birthday without the blonde bombshell by his side.
Instead, Eden was spotted getting cosy with busty Love Island co-star Natasha Webster in Sydney - while Erin was nowhere to be seen.
Although Erin and Eden's relationship was short-lived – with the break-up occurring almost exactly two months after the finale – they still managed to outlast winners Grant Crapp and Tayla Damir.
Grant and Tayla, who pocketed $25,000 each after winning the show, announced their split just two weeks after the series wrapped in July.
