Ghislaine Maxwell lived ‘like husband and wife’ with millionaire Scott Borgerson before arrest
GHISLAINE Maxwell and Scott Borgerson acted like a “husband and wife” when they entertained guests at their £2million love-nest.
The jailed socialite — who has refused to name her mystery husband to prosecutors — lived with US tech millionaire Borgerson, 44, before disappearing last year.

They bought a huge house together on a private estate in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, in 2016 before falling foul of the locals.
One pal, who did not want to be named, told The Sun On Sunday: "Ghislaine was always very polite and well dressed — she was definitely living there for a while.
"I thought her and Scott were husband and wife — they seemed really happy together.
"Upstairs they had two kids’ bedrooms with toys everywhere and I thought they were their kids but I found out they were Scott’s from his previous marriage.
"They were very friendly. When I found out what she’d been accused of I was shocked.
"I only saw her in sweat pants one time - the other times she was all done up looking good."
Another local in Manchester-by-the-Sea added: "She’s been here since the beginning. She introduced herself to people as ‘G’."
Maxwell, 58, who began peddling environmentalism in recent years, is understood to have met Borgerson at a conference for the Arctic Circle in Iceland in 2013.
Six months later, in April 2014, Borgerson cited an "irretrievable breakdown" in his marriage to wife Rebecca, divorce papers obtained by The Sun On Sunday show.
Heiress Maxwell is said to have bragged to friends that the 6ft 5inch former Coast Guard officer was her "Navy SEAL".

In 2016, documents appear to show that Maxwell, using the alias "Jennifer Ellmax", was listed with Borgerson as the new owner of the seven-bedroom home in Manchester-by-the-Sea.
The first pal said: "They had two dogs there, they were like hunting dogs and they were fierce.
"One time they came out of nowhere and I thought they were going to kill each other.
"Maxwell came out of nowhere too and calmed them down. The house did have one unusual feature — a huge shower.
"It had Wi-Fi so they could control it from their phones, a steam unit, the whole nine yards. It was like a party shower.
"You can imagine what they got up to in there.
"They actually had their regular house and another house — I think it was a summer house.
"And they have renovated the garage so there's a small apartment on top of that."
Court documents show that Borgerson even contemplated buying a house on an ISLAND near the Manchester-by-the-Sea coastline.
But in 2019 Maxwell and Borgerson got into a legal dispute with their neighbours about the private estate which their home was built on.
Maxwell is said to have eventually moved out of the house after Jeffrey Epstein killed himself and she became the focus of prosecutors.
She was named as Borgerson’s girlfriend last year — claims he denied.
Borgerson, who is still believed to live at the property, could not be contacted for comment.
The Sun also found documents linking a ‘Scott Borgerson’ to Maxwell’s new home in New Hampshire, where she was arrested on July 2.
She’s now been charged with child grooming offences linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring.

Assistant US Attorney Alison Moe told Maxwell’s bail hearing in New York on Tuesday that she was married.
She said: "The defendant also makes no mention whatsoever about the financial circumstances or assets of her spouse, whose identity she declined to provide to pretrial services."
Ms Moe did not say who she believed Maxwell’s "spouse" was or give any indication as to how long they had been married.
Sources close to Maxwell refused to comment, but indicated that they WOULD reveal whether she was married or not in a future court filing.

One insider said: "There will be some more legal paperwork filed by her team and the answer will be in that."
Maxwell’s legal team are understood to be plotting when to launch another bail application, after their one this week failed.
