Monster mum boasted ‘murder is like potato chips, you can’t stop with just one’ before strangling teen sons to death
AN EVIL mum made a sick murder boast before going on to kill her two teenage sons and planning to murder four more.
Sarah Barrass, 35, posted a disturbing quote from horror writer Stephen King onto her Facebook page that said: “Murder is like potato chips; you can't stop with just one.”
The evil mum strangled both boys to death, with their death certificates stating they had died from "ligature strangulation".
Barrass posted the message in July last year and 10 months later she killed her two teenage sons Tristan, 13, and Blake, 14 with help from a family member Brandon Machin, 37.
Tristan and Blake died just 12 minutes apart in May.
She and Machin have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder six of Barrass’s children, including Tristan and Blake.
The vile post was just one of several disturbing messages she posted about death over the months leading up to the murders, reports The Mirror.
In one post she wrote: "I'm not mean or cold hearted. I'm just sick of being f****d over,” and accompanied that with an image of the Grim Reaper.
In another message an image of the Grim Reaper holding a scythe covered in blood was posted online with the message: “Coming for you…"
Barrass broke down when she pleaded guilty in Sheffield Crown Court alongside Machin who also pleaded guilty.
Judge Jeremy Richardson QC told them: "No words of mine can ever fully reflect the enormity of what you have both done.
"The crimes you have committed quite frankly speak for themselves. The murder of two children.”
The court heard all of the surviving children are under the age of 13.
No details were given in court about what happened to the children inside the house in the Shiregreen area of Sheffield on May 24 and May 25 this year.
The Sun previously revealed how the teen boys had messaged a friend telling them "we're not coming to school" as they felt sick the day of their death.
An inquest later heard the teens had died within 12 minutes of each other.
Tristan was pronounced dead at 9.14am on May 14, while Blake died 12 minutes later at 9.26am.
South Yorkshire Police has never released the cause of the two boys' death and it was not given when an inquest was opened earlier this year.
The brothers were given an emotional send off in a service earlier this year as they were laid to rest together in one coffin.

They were escorted with an enormous cortege of 300 motorcycles and two Lamborghini cars.
Those in attendance heard emotional tributes from a family friend and the boys' young cousin, Storm, who broke down in tears as she spoke on the day.
She said: "I know this is a sad time but in my heart, I will always remember my cousins.
"I know they will always be waiting for me at heaven's door."
