Meghan Markle boasted she had ‘legs as long as a mile’ and told her agent to get her jobs that ‘showcased this asset’
MEGHAN Markle once told her business adviser she had “legs as long as a mile” and wanted to find jobs that “showcased” her “asset”.
Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne, 54, acted as Meghan’s business adviser after meeting the actress on the set of Suits in 2014, and the pair also became close friends.
The business guru worked with Meghan, 38, on numerous endorsement deals, from big-brand watch companies to body care ranges, and the actress was firm about how to promote herself.
Gina wrote in the Mail on Sunday: “She [Meghan] took me to one side and emphasised that she had 'legs as long as a mile', demanding that our agency do our best to secure her a substantial offer to showcase this 'asset'.”
Meghan is also said to have had the “ambition” to land a huge contract with a beauty brand, like L’Oreal.
The business adviser said that Meghan “is a businesswoman first and foremost” and she was “most keen” about being a brand ambassador when she was an actress.
Gina said that this will stand Meghan in good stead for life stepping down as a senior royal, as many big companies will want both Meghan and Harry.”
The advisor said that there won’t be a single casting director who would not want to bank her for their movie, TV show or advert, and that everything Meghan does is “forensically planned.”
Gina added: “Now she holds the title HRH The Duchess of Sussex she has a hallmark that no money can buy.”
She said that despite not working with Meghan for three years, she is still bombarded with offers, and Meghan will no doubt have to just “name her price.”
She continued: “If all this is a dream come true for Meghan, Harry will have to be very careful if it is not to turn out to be a nightmare for him. In the Wild West of the commercial world, there will be none of the careful protection he is used to as a member the Royal household.”
Gina added that Meghan will think that “female celebrities have a limited shelf life”, whereas Prince Harry’s royal heritage will stay with him for his whole life.
However, she said if the couple manage to stage-manage their new roles commercially, they could develop a brand to rival that of the Obamas, Beyonce and Brad Pitt.
Meghan and Prince Harry have said they hope to become financially independent from the royal family, and will split their time between the UK and North America.
Meghan is back in Canada since the news was announced, and Harry has been in crisis talks with his family.
The couple's staff is being axed from Frogmore Cottage as courtiers speculate over whether the Duchess of Sussex will ever return to live in Britain.
