Dundee United ace Scott Banks to seal Crystal Palace move next week after deal agreed
SCOTT BANKS is set to secure his move to Crystal Palace next week.
The Dundee United midfielder has agreed a pre-contract with the English Premier League side for next season.
But a fee has now been agreed between the clubs for the transfer to be pushed through this month.
Banks will travel to London for a medical in the next few days.
United would have been due £200,000 in training compensation for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder, but have negotiated a higher sum than that to get the deal done now.
Banks hasn’t featured for Robbie Neilson’s side in recent months, after rejecting a new deal and deciding his future lay south of the border.
Palace have been tracking the teenager since last summer and had a £400,000 offer rejected by United at that time.
But with him set to depart anyway, the Tannadice club have decided to cash in now and let him move early.
