- Naked couple were caught in an intimate moment halfway up a Bondi cliff
- An early morning swimmer spotted the pair as he swam past at breakfast-time
- Passers-by on the clifftop above were oblivious to the X-rated show below them
- Pictures of the lovers sparked debate on whether it was allowed under lockdown
Sydney's Bondi beach is world-famous for its breathtaking views - but a couple's risky sex escapade on a beachside clifftop even took away the breath of locals.
The naked pair were spotted getting intimate halfway up the cliff, prompting debate about whether they were engaged in exercise or outdoor recreation under Sydney's latest lockdown laws.
An early morning swimmer spotted the couple at 8.15am as he swam past from Bondi to Tamarama and managed to catch the action in a couple of pictures.
The lovers can clearly be seen enjoying the moment on a ledge as passers-by on the clifftop above enjoy the ocean scene, oblivious to the X-rated show below them.

Photographer Scott Robinson posted the pics on the Bondi Local Loop group on Facebook.
'Just thought it was a little levity given the times and the new restrictions,' he told news.com.au
'I took the pic from the water while doing an ocean swim this morning from Bondi to Tamarama. It was probably around 8.15am so they were keen.
'See lots of wildlife in the water around there but never up on the cliffs!'

The post was later removed from Facebook but not before amused locals had chipped in with quips about whether the amorous encounter was within lockdown rules.
'Yes, it's cardio and also improves your mental health,' said one. 'Eastern suburbia is something else,' said another.
'Holyyyyyyyy crap. Those people above had no idea what they were missing out on,' added one.
And another joked: 'When she says, "Let's go for a coastal walk"...'
