On Friday a court heard the triple-zero call and conversations between the predator and his family.

Mugahed Adam Eldouma, 39, lied to police, telling them the woman he had raped twice was "like a step mum" to him and that he was her carer.

The emergency call released in court on Friday is difficult listening.

The woman's screams can be heard as the emergency operator asks for an address.

During the attack, Eldouma said, "I haven't been with a woman for a while."

The victim cried out, "I could die from this, what would you do then?", to which Eldouma said, "I would bury you."

In another recording, Eldouma's wife and mother of his two children asks, "Adam did you do it?"

"I swear to god, no," he answers.

Son in surgery

The sex attack happened around the same time Eldouma's son, who had cancer, was having his leg amputated.

The court heard the father should have been by the little boy's bedside at the time of the attack.

Eldouma's victim was a disability pensioner who had arthritis and a heart condition.

Police arrived 14 minutes after her call for help, finding Eldouma in the backyard.

The grandmother died just over a year after the attack.
