Career is my husband: Parvathy Omanakuttan

With the former Miss India World being as pretty as she is, one would that think she had no dearth of suitors. But her career is her husband, says Parvathy Omanakuttan and adds that she has no intention of getting married any time soon.

In the city recently for the launch of a fashion brand ‘Woman’s World’, the spunky actress opened up about her acting career and her future. Parvathy, who debuted in Kollywood with Billa-II is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming Malayalam flick KQ, in which she plays a reporter. The leggy lass, who was all praise for actor Ajith Kumar, her first co-star in Tamil, is expected to make her Tollywood debut soon. “I have just signed up for a Telugu movie, which hasn’t been named yet. But I am also looking to sign a couple of Tamil movies,” she says.

Like any other young woman, Parvathy confesses that she would love to have a ‘love marriage’ and wants her husband to be her best friend. But, as of now she says that her career is her husband. Though she does not believe in having role-models, she gives out a message to young women saying,  “You know what is right and wrong, follow your heart and choose what you like,” and adds that she likes to look up to the good in every person.

 When asked if she finds any difference between the various industries she has worked in, the actor-cum-model says that she respects the amount of effort that goes into the making of a movie, irrespective of the language or the place of work. “But”, she adds, “I would love to go on a holiday to Europe,” as she has only visited places for professional reasons.

 She is proud that she is being called ‘Miss India’ instead of “Miss Parvathy” and signs off as a proud Indian who represented her country at the Miss World finals.
