Kristen Stewart Says She Might Have Married Robert Pattinson

Since she shot to global superstardom with the Twilight franchise, Kristen Stewart has tried to keep her private life, well, private. Though that’s tough to do when the paparazzi are tracking your every move. The actor, of course, famously dated her costar Robert Pattinson during the time that the books and movies were a total phenomenon, and she’s finally opening up about how she felt at the time.

During an interview with Howard Stern, Stewart reiterated again how real her and Pattinson’s relationship was and that it was not a publicity stunt, as some claimed. “You really think at this point, after all these years, that’s how I live my life?” she said, when asked about the rumors, per E!. She explains that she struggled with how public to make the relationship because they wanted to “keep it ours.”

“But then you deprive yourself of so many experiences,” Stewart said. “We didn’t walk down the street holding hands because we were like, ‘We don’t wanna give it to ’em.’ But then, we didn’t get to walk down the street holding hands, and it sucked."

She wasn’t totally comfortable opening up about this part of her life, however. “Because I was so self-conscious about seeming like an attention-seeker,” she explained. “We were together for years, that was my first [love].” In fact, Stewart says she might have even married Pattinson. “Was there a point you would’ve gotten married? Do you think?” Stern asked. “I don’t know,” she said. “I wanted to...yeah, no, I’ve never been in...”

“If he proposed, you would’ve gotten married,” the radio host follows up. “I don’t know,” Stewart said. “I’m not a super-duper traditionalist, but at the same time...every relationship I’ve ever been in, I thought that was it. I’ve never really been the most casual person.”

She says she definitely wants to get married eventually and is, in fact, in love at the moment. She added that she “can’t fucking wait” to propose to her girlfriend, screenwriter Dylan Meyer, someday.

Of her ex, Kristen Stewart said simply, “He’s the best.”
