What a lovely street to live on IN THE LAND OF WOMEN....
I have now watched this movie 3 times in my life. Twice I rented it and now I have watched it again after I purchased it. I am a huge Meg Ryan fan, and although this is quite a different kind of role for her, it was a wonderful movie and I thought her acting was EXCELLENT as always! I had never heard of Adam Brody before watching IN THE LAND OF WOMEN, and really enjoyed his acting. Quite a sweet young man in the movie, and a sensitive actor I would say. I loved the way he took care of his Grandmother in the movie. Of course I have seen Kristen Stewart in the Twilight movies and liked her, so it was neat realizing this was one of her earlier movies as I watched it several weeks ago after purchasing. Olympia DuKhakis is SUCH a HOOT in this movie and at the same time you felt such ... I have now watched this movie 3 times in my life. Some serious issues are dealt with in this movie: Death.....loneliness, old age, sickness, and then I would say relationships.....realizing those that are superficial and shallow, the precious one between a mother and a daughter,one between a husband and wife that needs nurturing, and new friendships that inspire. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a good movie.

One of the best movies out there
It was a intriguing movie with an amazing cast of performers. I think that Kristen Stewart was better in this movie than in all three Twilight films. She had a greater range of emotions in this that made me feel for her character. Adam Brody's character who is the main character did a great job as well of telling a plain story plot into an amazing movie. I'd say that this movie is a straight up buy for any movie lovers who love a great and interesting piece of cinema. I'd have to admit though without giving out any spoilers that I did feel for almost every character in this movie. I liked how the ending left you with a feeling of satisfaction and didn't leave any plot holes. I would recommend this to any one and every one who loves truly amazing movies.It was a intriguing movie with an amazing cast of performers. Engaging story. Well done! Some would say it is too heavy as it sure seems like everyone is struggling, and no one has it together or has the life they want. In a hurting world, we are helpfully reminded that we are not the one one who is hurting! It may not help you to understand the differences between men and women but you will find yourself smiling.
