Robert Pattinson has had his fair share of dealing with paparazzi. He was initiated to the life of a celebrity when he was playing Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter franchise. It only reached new heights during promotions of Twilight franchise which was followed by his affair with co-star Kristen Stewart.
Drawing inspiration from those encounters, Pattinson wrote and starred in a short film produced by GQ magazine. Vikram Gandhi, director of 2016 Netflix movie Barry, based on the life Barack Obama, helmed the project.
The short film opens with Pattinson contemplating going out to get a hot dog because he is talking to himself and turning into a maniac.
This is when the resemblance with one of the iconic Lord of the Rings characters Gollum/Sméagol start to emerge. Pattinson walks in the streets of New York, hunting for a hot dog while arguing himself what a terrible idea it is. Him hissing the word 'precious' was all that missing!
He finally finds Papaya King, one of NYC's best hot dog places and declares, "It’s just like I imagined."
