Can I suggest if you wish to learn how to remove etc etc that you join one of the schools on the net - they would be able to provide such info (as I could being one of the teachers). But would also help you with the clean up after.

Have you thought of joining one of the anti-malware schools - two available with lots of people in training.

Out of interest why do you want to infect yourself?

Just curious

I can answer for myself - if not the original poster.

I intend to have a testbed computer to test the removal process for new malware.

It can also be useful to receive the copies of malware from people, when they are very new, so I can infect myself and hopefully find a cure for it, that way.

But I will use a ghost drive :) for safety.
