She played Donna Freedman from 2008 to 2011, before leaving the role to conquer Hollywood.
Donna was best known for her relationship with future husband Ringo Brown, who she married in 2010.
The blonde bombshell shocked viewers when she had an affair with Andrew Robinson behind Ringo's back, before eventually taking him back.
Speaking about her role to Wonderland magazine, Margot said: "I was like 'I'm on Neighbours? I'm gonna be on TV and someone’s going to pay me to do this?'
"At 18, people would approach me and be all like, 'you’re that chick from Neighbours, do you own six houses or something?'
"In reality I was living in an absolute crack den of an apartment with a fridge and a mattress on the floor."
Margot went on to star in Wolf of Wall Street, The Legend of Tarzan and Goodbye Christopher Robin.
The 27-year-old also played the iconic Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad last year, inspiring thousands of Halloween costumes last year.
She is also set to play Queen Elizabeth I in 2018 film Mary Queen of Scots.
But will Margot ever return to the soap?
