Robert Pattinson is still friends with Kristen Stewart

Robert Pattinson admits he is still in contact with Kristen Stewart.

The 28-year-old actor split from his former girlfriend of four years and 'Twilight Saga' co-star last summer after struggling to get over her ''momentary indiscretion'' with her 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders in July 2012, but he insists they remain friends.

Asked if they're still in touch, 'The Rover' star told The Hollywood Reporter: ''Oh yeah.''

Robert is now focused on his career and says he is very happy these days.

He said: ''I did some interview a while ago, and it sounds like I'm a manic-depressive about to kill myself. And I'm like, 'No I'm not!' ''

Following their split last summer, the British star put the $6.75 million home he once shared with Kristen, 24, in Los Feliz, Los Angeles on the market in September and moved into a rented bachelor pad in Coldwater Canyon.

He explained: ''It was too big a house. It was incredible, like Versailles. It was absolutely, completely crazy. It had this incredible garden, but you just stay in one room, anyway. I could basically live in a cell as long as I had a window.''

Robert claims he isn't materialistic and doesn't have many clothes despite stealing a lot of designer things.

He said: ''I don't understand how I don't have any clothes. I've basically stolen every item of clothing that anyone's ever given me for a premiere, but in my closet there's literally about three things.''

But he added: ''I have extremely simple desires. I don't need anything. I don't want anything at all.''
