Kristen Stewart's Glittery Eye Makeup Is Incredibly Magical

Without her platinum-blonde hair falling in front of her face, Kristen Stewart's glittery eye makeup was able to take center stage last night. At the NY premiere for her upcoming movie Personal Shopper, Stewart paired her new buzzcut with a particularly magical look. I'll be honest—her eye makeup definitely had unicorn vibes. I know, the actress is probably one of the last people anyone would imagine trying out the trend, but she makes it work so well.

So how did her look have unicorn vibes? It's all about the glitter. Her makeup artist, Beau Nelson, packed the center of Stewart's lids with metallic rose shimmer. Then, he smoked out the outer corners with black liner or shadow into a winged shape. He mirrored the color scheme along her lower lash line, too. I'm living for the masculine-meets-feminine contrast of the pink glitter and sultry wings. That same theme runs through her entire look with her sparkly pink dress and boyish new haircut.

Naturally, I want to try Kristen Stewart's glittery eye makeup look out ASAP. Luckily, I have an pretty good idea of how to execute it. Last month, I was backstage at the Brandon Maxwell's fall 2017 show where Tom Pecheux created a similar look. First, he created a winged shape with black liner before setting it with pitch-black shadow. Then, he brushed a metallic M.A.C. Pigment onto the center of the lid. You can try the same steps at home and sub in a rose gold glitter like the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Cosmetic Glitters in Beige for the loose pigment. The Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Smoky Storm works too if you don't want to deal with a glittery mess. Easy enough, right?
