Michael Cranston admits 'a form of conflict' to police

Former deputy tax commissioner Michael Cranston told police there could have been a conflict of interest in his raising his son's business concerns with a senior tax official.

"In hindsight, maybe the fact that I raised that with assistant commissioner [Tony Poulakis] at a senior level – there may have been a form of conflict," Mr Cranston told Australia Federal Police in a recorded interview.
