The gathering prospect of a Federal Labor government lead by Bill Shorten makes Tania Constable a very important person indeed for the future prosperity of Australian mining.

Constable is the new chief executive of the Minerals Council of Australia and last week she told The Australian Financial Review that her three initial priorities were promoting the need and nature of economic reform, pushing the cause of industry sustainability and educating Australians with some consistency about the values and importance of their mining industries.
