L.A. Gear Introduces L.A. Lights to a New Generation

L.A. Gear is rebooting its children’s line. The company, which re-launched this spring with recording artists Tyga at the creative helm, is launching two children’s styles, the Liquid Gold L.A. Lights and Liquid Berry L.A. Lights. The lighted sneakers will be available at Shiekh Shoes locations and online store beginning August 14.

L.A. Gear launched L.A. Lights in 1991. The new models pay homage to the classic design, but are updated with traffic-stopping metallic gold and pink uppers to appeal to the current fashion-savvy children’s market.

The shoes are available in infant and children sizes 5-10, 11-3 and 4-7 and retail for $34.99-$44.99.

“L.A. Gear was the first brand to incorporate lights into its footwear, so we couldn’t be more excited to be relaunching one of the most iconic lighted kids styles for back-to-school,” said L.A. Gear Vice President Lance Jackson. “Over the years, kids shoes with lights have become a really important and fun feature. Given the success of Tyga’s Liquid Gold L.A. Lights shoe, we wanted to make this style in boys sizes and a fun Liquid Berry color in girls sizes,” he added.
