Fans were first introduced to Lauren Conrad (a.k.a. LC) on MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County before the star moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in fashion on season 1 of The Hills.

Throughout her five-season stint, LC experienced ups and downs with friends Heidi Montag and Audrina Patridge, as well as in her relationships with Jason Wahler, Doug Reinhardt and Brody Jenner.

Following her departure from the show midway through season 5 in 2009, wedding bells rang for Conrad when she tied the knot to law school grad William Tell — whom she began dating in 2012 — on Sept. 13, 2014. "Everyone is so happy for her. He's such a great guy," a source told PEOPLE after the engagement. "They are perfect for each other!"

On New Year's Day 2017, the two delighted fans with even bigger news: They were expecting their first child together! On July 5, 2017, the pair welcomed son Liam James, and on Oct. 8, 2019, son Charlie Wolf joined the family.

Conrad has stayed busy with her LC Lauren Conrad collection and children's brand Little Co. by Lauren Conrad in partnership with Kohl's. In 2022, she launched the fragrance and gift set collection Loved by Lauren Conrad, inspired by her romance with husband Tell.

Kristin Cavallari — who was involved in an infamous love triangle with Conrad and Stephen Colletti on Laguna Beach — joined The Hills as a guest on season 5 before assuming a full-time role through season 6 following LC's departure.

While she romanced frenemy Conrad's beaus on The Hills, in real life, Cavallari married former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler on June 7, 2013.

"It was absolutely perfect," she said of her big day, which came 10 months after the arrival of son Camden Jack.

In May 2014, the family grew again when son Jaxon Wyatt was born, and in November 2015, Cavallari welcomed her third child, a daughter, Saylor James. When Cutler's time in Chicago ended, the family moved to Nashville. Cavallari and Cutler — whose relationship was documented on their own E! reality show, Very Cavallari — announced plans to divorce in April 2020 after 10 years together.

In 2017, Cavallari founded Uncommon James, a jewelry, accessory and home line. She's also the author of the autobiography Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness and Making It All Work and three cookbooks.

In 2022, Cavallari and Colletti launched Laguna Beach rewatch podcast Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt

Montag served as a main cast member during all six seasons of The Hills and also appeared alongside husband Spencer Pratt on the show's 2019 reboot, The Hills: New Beginnings, which was canceled after two seasons.

On The Hills, fans watched as former roommates Montag and Conrad's friendship dissolved once Montag began dating Pratt, who was a recurring cast member from seasons 2 through 6. But years later, Speidi's still going strong!

The pair first got married in a surprise ceremony in Mexico in November 2008, followed by a traditional wedding ceremony in Pasadena, California, in April 2009 that aired on the season finale of The Hills. After tying the knot, Montag and Pratt survived a rough patch in which she briefly filed for legal separation in June 2010 before renewing her wedding vows with Pratt in November 2010.

Though they've since lost their reality fortune, the couple continued to look ahead: In April 2017, Montag and Pratt announced they were expecting, and that October, they welcomed son Gunner. In November 2022, they had their second son together, Ryker. The Hills alums celebrated their 14th anniversary in 2023, with Montag referring to their marriage as "a dream" on her Instagram Story.

Whitney Port, Conrad's former Teen Vogue officemate, was a main cast member on The Hills from seasons 1 to 4 before starring in on the New York-based spinoff series, The City, which ran from 2008 to 2010.

In November 2015, Port married Tim Rosenman at El Capitan Canyon resort. Rosenman worked as an associate producer on The City. The couple began dating in 2012 after Port split from fellow MTV star Ben Nemtin.

After Port and Rosenman got engaged in 2013, Port announced on Instagram that she was pregnant in 2017. She wrote an accompanying blog post sharing her shock and excitement. On July 27, 2017, the couple welcomed their son, Sonny Sanford.

Since giving birth, the fashionista opened up about two devastating pregnancy losses in 2019 and 2021. Port is also the host of With Whit podcast, and friend and former Hills castmate Conrad joined her on an episode in September 2020. Like Montag and Pratt, Port appeared on The Hills: New Beginnings.

Audrina Patridge

Patridge starred on The Hills for all six seasons and appeared on the 2019 reboot.

While the drama surrounding Patridge on The Hills largely centered on her relationship with "Justin Bobby" Brescia, in real life, she had an on-again, off-again relationship with boyfriend Corey Bohan. The brunette beauty and the BMX rider publicly split in 2011 on her eponymous VH1 reality show, only to eventually reunite — then split again that July.

Bohan proposed to Patridge in November 2015, and the two welcomed their first child, daughter Kirra Max, in June 2016, before tying the knot that November. However, in September 2017, Patridge filed for both divorce and a restraining order after detailing some of Bohan's violent outbursts. In June 2018, Patridge reunited with ex-boyfriend Ryan Cabrera, though the two went their separate ways that September.

Patridge's 2022 memoir, Choices: To the Hills and Back Again, chronicles her time in the reality TV spotlight.

Brody Jenner

Jenner's relationships with Conrad and ex-girlfriend Cavallari were hot topics on the show during the playboy's run from seasons 2 to 6.

Off the show, Jenner dated Avril Lavigne and model Bryana Holly. In May 2014, Jenner debuted his relationship with Kaitlynn Carter, whom he took as his date to Reggie Bush's wedding in San Diego that July. He popped the question to Carter in May 2016. They tied the knot in Indonesia — though not legally in the U.S. — in 2018, but the two split one year later.

Jenner, who also appeared on MTV's Bromance, E!'s Sex with Brody and Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and Carter were both featured on The Hills: New Beginnings.

In January 2023, Jenner and girlfriend and professional surfer Tiarah "Tia" Blanco announced they were expecting a child.

Jason Wahler

Wahler, whom Conrad infamously chose over an internship in Paris on The Hills, is also an alum of Laguna Beach, where he first started dating the reality starlette.

Though his tumultuous relationship with Conrad was a focal point of The Hills' first season, the two had split up by the time season 2 rolled around (Wahler appeared on seasons 1 to 3).

Wahler married model Ashley Slack on Oct. 12, 2013, at the Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California. The pair had been engaged since late 2012.

On Aug. 21, 2017, they welcomed their daughter, Delilah Ray, adding to The Hills baby boom. Baby No. 2, Wyatt, joined the family in June 2021.

Wahler has opened up about his substance abuse struggles in the past. Though he's now sober, he said his time on reality TV "added fuel to the fire."

Wahler and his wife both appeared on The Hills: New Beginnings.

Frankie Delgado appeared as Jenner's on-screen bestie beginning on season 2 of The Hills. He retreated from the spotlight a bit after the show, proposing to longtime girlfriend Jennifer Acosta on Valentine's Day 2012 and marrying her in 2013. The couple welcomed daughter Isabella in May 2014, per E! News, and a son in December 2016.

He stayed friendly with Conrad and Jenner — attending her wedding and his engagement party — and has continued working in the hospitality industry.

Along with Jenner, Montag, Spencer, Wahler and Patridge, Delgado returned for both seasons of The Hills: New Beginnings.

The bad boy entered the picture on season 3 of The Hills as Patridge's on-again, off-again love interest.

Brescia, who was known as "Justin Bobby" on the show, was also romantically linked to Cavallari on the series, though Patridge claimed the relationship was manufactured by production.

Brescia also appeared on The Hills: New Beginnings reboot.

Fans first met Lo Bosworth as LC's best friend on Laguna Beach, and she joined The Hills during season 2 in a similar capacity before becoming a main cast member on the show's final season.

Bosworth, who didn't return for the show's reboot, founded women's care line Love Wellness in 2016. In 2021, she revealed she suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2019.

Spencer's sister appeared on The Hills in a recurring role starting on season 3 before being brought on as a main cast member for the final season.

Stephanie, who has publicly feuded with Spencer and Montag for years, returned for season 1 of The Hills: New Beginnings. However, she did not return for season 2 after slamming her costars.

She opened up about her struggles with drug addiction and bulimia in her 2015 memoir, Made in Reality.
