Twenty-three years after the terrorist bombing in a World Trade Center garage, the Port Authority has lost its last-ditch legal bid to avoid paying more than $10 million to a woman critically injured in the blast, The Post has learned.
Linda Nash, 72, is believed to be the last plaintiff in the case to have her negligence claim settled, said her attorney, Louis Mangone.
“The fat lady has sung,” Mangone said.
Nash, a former senior actuarial and benefits consultant for the financial-services firm Deloitte & Touche, was severely hurt in the Feb. 26, 1993, bombing that killed six and injured more than 1,000.
The PA filed at least three appeals to avoid paying Nash a 2010 judgment of $5.2 million, an award that swelled to more than $10 million with interest.
On Feb. 11, the state Court of Appeals denied the PA’s motion to re-litigate the case again based on technical grounds.
