Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart

Rob sat on the couch in his best clothes – jeans and a plaid shirt. He had invited Kristen over to jam before, but this time was different. She had recently broken up with her boyfriend, Michael, and he knew that this was his chance to make a move. They’d kissed before, of course, but he didn’t know for sure whether the butterflies had been in her stomach too. He wanted it to be true so badly: all these feelings that he’d imagined her having, all the chemistry he’d seen between them. And the world saw it too; they always said, oh Rob and Kristen have amazing chemistry. Kristen told him about her relationship with Michael once. She said that it was nice, comfortable, but that she didn’t know if it was enough for her.

The doorbell rang.

“Hey,” she said with that smile that she reserved only for him. And Michael sometimes. God knows she never did it in public…

“Hey,” he said, palms sweating. “Come in, I’ve got some, uh, hot pockets if you’re hungry. I mean, you don’t have to have any. Just, um, letting you know.” Oh god, he thought.

“I could go for a hot pocket,” she said.

“Great! Fantastic! Let me heat one up for you!”

In the kitchen, Rob shoved the hot pocket into the microwave. He ran his hands through his hair, nervous. You’ve got to do it, Rob, you’ve got to. She’s the one.

“Rob?” Kristen said from the other room.

“Yes?”

She came into the kitchen. “Rob, I have to be honest with you… I know that we’ve been telling everyone that we’re just friends and that there’s nothing between us, but I think we both know that there is. Rob, I’m so attracted to you. I can’t help myself.”

He looked at her, stunned.

“Please say something, Rob. I… I haven’t just made an idiot of myself, have I?”

“No!” he shouted frantically. “No, Kristen, I feel exactly the same way. I’ve never met anyone like you. Anyone who makes me feel this way. Kristen, you’re everything I ever wanted in a woman. I love you, Kristen, and I’ve wanted to tell you that for a while.”

“Oh… thank you, Rob. That is so so sweet. I’m not quite sure what to say.”

“Oh god, now I’ve made an idiot of myself. I’m so sorry. Please don’t be scared of me because I said that. I just… maybe I don’t know what love is, but this sure feels like it.”

She smiled and picked up the hot pocket. “Don’t worry, Rob. It’s okay.”

He smiled then.

Kristen put down the plate. “I just want to make one thing clear though. We can’t tell the press about all this. They will be on us so fast, and everyone will just be sitting there waiting for us to break up. I really don’t want that. You don’t either, right?”

“Oh no, definitely not. That would be just terrible.” I wish I could tell the world how happy I am with this amazing and beautiful woman though.

She grabbed his hand as she had so many times before, but this time, it was the beginning of something real, something magical.
