Demolished houses in Darwin after Cyclone Tracy.

50th Anniversary

It’s hard to believe that December 25 next year will be the 50th anniversary of the night Cyclone Tracy devastated Darwin and left so many of us with memories we would rather forget.

Our Remembering Cyclone Tracy Inc. was established to ensure the voices of the survivor community are heard and respected during the 50th anniversary. Our association is part of the City of Darwin’s Cyclone Tracy Commemorations Advisory Committee, but is separate from it.

Our main task is to establish how many survivors exist, where they live, and how they plan to take part in the commemorations.

If you were in Darwin during Cyclone Tracy, or if you came here to help with the clean-up, could you please fill in the survey. Please fill in the survey here.
