Barnaby Joyce congratulates Matildas on stunning win last night against France

Former Deputy Prime Minister and tech wizz Barnaby Joyce issued a heartfelt congratulations to the Matildas this morning for their epic win against France, after watching last Saturday’s thrilling game last night.

“Congrats girls… I’ve got a great feeling that we will go all the way now. The semi final against England will no doubt be a walk in the park,” said Mr Joyce this morning.

“Thank goodness Albo locked in that public holiday because I’m in no condition to rock up to work after last night’s celebrations!”

Last week, the nation was left shocked that the man who was illegitimately elected to parliament after not realising he was a New Zealander, didn’t realise he was watching the wrong game.

However, Joyce managed to put last week’s confusion behind him, saying watching John Aloisi’s winning penalty last night was one of his proudest moments.
