Scholarships
As part of Google’s ongoing commitment to advancing computing and technology, we are pleased to provide scholarships to encourage students to excel in their studies and become active role models and leaders. We hope these programs also help in dismantling barriers that keep women and minorities from entering computing and technology fields.
We currently offer the following scholarship and diversity programs to students studying in Australia and New Zealand:
Google Australia Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship
The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship was established to honour the legacy of Anita Borg and her efforts to encourage women to pursue careers in computer science and technology. In addition to Australia and New Zealand, the scholarship is also offered in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Google Global Community Scholarship for the Grace Hopper Conference
Australian and New Zealand students can also apply for the Google Global Community Scholarship for the Grace Hopper Conference. More details will be announced shortly. We will also be co-hosting a number of Women in Software Engineering events throughout 2008. If you would like to be invited, please register your interest.
Academic Prizes
Additionally academic prizes are offered at certain universities. Please contact your university to find out if a prize is currently offered.
