(57) ABSTRACT
An identification tag holder includes an identification tag shell containing a transmitter. An identification card is placed into the identification tag shell. An identification tag interface reads identification data from the identification tag which is transmitted by the transmitter. A remote indentification tag identification system includes one or more remote identification tag components each having an identification tag reader and a transmitter. An identification tag is inserted into the identification tag component, such that identification data may be read from the identification tag by the identification tag reader. A location receiver receives identification data transmitted by the transmitter. A location processor processes said received identification data.
