Description
そのため、上記従来の構成では、各フォトインタラプターと、テープカートリッジに設けられた各仕様表示部(仕様表示シール)との位置関係が、装着の都度、ズレてしまい、各仕様表示部の位置が、各フォトインタラプターが検出を行うための最適位置からズレるという問題があった。これにより、各フォトインタラプターによる検出能力が低下し、上記仕様を正しく識別することができない虞がある。
また、装着した時に、各フォトインタラプターと各仕様表示部との位置関係が最適な位置関係になっていたとしても、外部からの衝撃やテープ印刷装置の各種駆動軸からの力によって、テープカートリッジの位置がズレてしまい、最適な位置関係を維持することができなかった。
図1は、テープ印刷装置およびこれに装着されるテープカートリッジの外観斜視図である。同図に示すように、テープ印刷装置1は、外殻を構成する装置ケース3と、テープカートリッジ100が装着方向および取外し方向に着脱自在に装着されるカートリッジ装着部5と、カートリッジ装着部5を開閉する開閉蓋7と、を備えている。装置ケース3の上面には、奥側にカートリッジ装着部5が設けられ、中央にディスプレイ11が設けられ、手前側にキーボード13が設けられている。開閉蓋7の近傍には、指掛け用の窪入部15が設けられている。開閉蓋7は、この窪入部15に指を掛け引き上げることにより開放される。そして、装置ケース3の側面(左側面)には、印刷テープ102が排出される縦長のテープ排出口17が設けられている。
図2および図5に示すように、テープカートリッジ100は、印刷テープ102をテープコア104に巻回したテープロール106と、インクリボン110を繰出しコア112に巻回したリボンロール114と、を備えている。また、テープカートリッジ100は、使用後のインクリボン110を巻き取る巻取りコア116と、印刷ヘッド21が当接すると共に印刷テープ102およびインクリボン110を送るプラテンローラー120(プラテン)と、を備えている。さらに、テープカートリッジ100は、これらテープロール106、リボンロール114、巻取りコア116およびプラテンローラー120を収容したカートリッジケース130を備えている。このように、本実施形態のテープカートリッジ100は、外殻をカートリッジケース130で覆われた、いわゆるシェル構造を有している。
図1および図3に示すように、カートリッジ装着部5は、テープカートリッジ100の平面形状と相補的な平面形状に形成されると共に、装着可能な複数種のテープカートリッジ100のうち、最大厚のテープカートリッジ100に対応する深さを有して、窪入形成されている。この場合、カートリッジ装着部5の底板部を構成する装着ベース31と側板部33とは、樹脂等で一体に形成(成形)されている。カートリッジ装着部5と上記テープ排出口17との間には、スリット状のテープ排出経路35が形成されており、この部分に、上記テープ切断機構部27が内蔵されている。
次に、図2、図5および図6を参照して、テープカートリッジ100について詳細に説明する。なお、テープカートリッジ100の説明では、図2(a)を例に、テープカートリッジ100の上正面である装着方向手前の面を「表面」と、逆側の装着方向奥側(装着方向側)の面を「裏面」と、左側の側面を「左側面」と、右側の側面を「右側面」と、上側の円弧状の側面を「先端面」と、下側の側面を「基端面」と、称呼するものとする。なお、請求項にいう「装着方向に倣う壁面」は、本実施形態におけるテープカートリッジ100の側面であり、請求項にいう「装着方向側の壁面」は、本実施形態におけるテープカートリッジ100の裏面である。
次に、図6ないし図10を参照して、パターン読取部59および位置決め穴部182について説明する。まず、図7および図8を参照して、テープ印刷装置1のパターン読取部59について説明する。図7に示すように、パターン読取部59は、カートリッジ装着部5の側板部33(手前側)に設けられ、カートリッジ装着部5の内側を向いて配設されている。すなわち、パターン読取部59は、テープカートリッジ100をカートリッジ装着部5に装着したときに、テープカートリッジ100の基端面に対向する位置に配設されている。パターン読取部59は、カートリッジ装着部5の内側に向いて配設されたセンサーユニット300と、センサーユニット300を移動自在に支持するユニット支持部302と、センサーユニット300をカートリッジ装着部5の内側に付勢するユニット付勢部304と、を備えている。
Claims (4)
- テープカートリッジに配設された被検出部に検出光を照射して前記被検出部から前記テープカートリッジの種別情報を読み取る検出部を備えたテープ印刷装置に対し、装着方向および取外し方向に着脱されるための、テープカートリッジであって、
前記装着方向に倣う壁面に配設された前記被検出部と、
前記装着方向側の壁面に配設された係合部と、を備え、
前記係合部は、前記検出部が配設されたホルダーに設けられた被係合部と係合され、前記ホルダーを介して前記検出部と前記被検出部との間の位置決めをすることを特徴とするテープカートリッジ。 - 前記被係合部は、突部で構成されており、
前記係合部は、前記突部に係合する穴部で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のテープカートリッジ。 - カートリッジケースを、更に備え、
前記カートリッジケースは、前記取外し方向側の第1部材と、前記装着方向側の第2部材との二つの部材で構成されており、
前記第1部材は、当該第1部材を前記第2部材に接合するための接合ピンを有し、
前記第2部材は、前記接合ピンが嵌合する接合穴を有し、
前記係合部は、前記第2部材の、前記装着方向側の壁面において、前記接合穴と同軸上に配設されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のテープカートリッジ。 - 前記係合部と前記接合穴とは、一体の貫通孔により構成されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のテープカートリッジ。
