Abstract
The invention relates to a novel device for securing and removing a stimulation electrode in and from muscle tissue, and novel means of securing and removing one or more stimulation electrodes in and from muscle or nerve tissue (including nerves, nerve endings and the tissues associated with the axons or in the central nervous system). The invention also relates to a device using these novel means, and to a complete system for the implantation and explantation or removal of an electrode. The invention also presents a method of controlling the concerted functioning of a plurality of electrodes without direct communication therebetween.
