BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to a computer-implemented system and method for placing into real-time relationship a buyer and a seller of a product or service.
DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART
Systems or methods for placing into relationship a buyer and a seller to collaborate are already known. US20120029992 discloses a system and method for enabling buyers and sellers to collaborate within their communities of interest and other social networks to determine similar buying interests for group purchasing. They thus can negotiate best group pricing and terms in order to realize optimum deal terms, and close their collective best deal (for those buyers that are willing to commit once deal pricing and terms have been presented) in a manner analogous to how group purchase deals are negotiated in the real world.
US20030004859 discloses a secure, computer based method and system for anonymously and confidentially matching indications of interest from potential groups of buyers and sellers.
The above-mentioned US20120039992 and US20030004859 both have the same goal namely group sales and disclose a system and method for enabling group of buyers and sellers to collaborate within their communities of interest and other social networks to determine similar buying interests, negotiate best group pricing and terms in order to realize optimum deal terms, and close their collective best deal in real-time. US20130006805 discloses an e-commerce business/system ("System") that facilitates the sale of goods and/or services between Seller(s) and individual consumers that are affiliates / members of a community group ("Organization"). In addition, the System facilitates formation, identification, aggregation and registration of such Organizations, to help its constituent consumers/members realize cost savings through collective buying opportunities and, optionally, have an opportunity to pledge at least a portion of the cost savings realized through such buying as charitable funds to be donated to the Organization. In addition, the System provides to interested sellers a retail platform for specified periods of time to reach and sell to specific group(s) of consumers who constitute Organizations defined by demographics, socio-economic factors, geographical location and known buying preferences. Once again, the disclosed system is oriented for group purchasers.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The invention aims to provide an easy and secure way to purchase or sell a product or service on the internet, with the possibility to contact instantly the buyer or the seller. The majority of online consumers start shopping at search systems. But it takes much time to browse through various web-sites before one finally finds the desired product and makes their choice. Alternatively there are web-sites for classified ads but the problem with them is that many of the ads are either outdated or simply fake or give misleading information. As a result the level of trust to the seller is very often low. A more efficient channel for searching for products on the web is offered by shopping aggregators. This is the most convenient way for getting all information in one place. But, once again it will take significant time to examine the information.
The computer-implemented system according to the invention offers a solution that greatly simplifies the consumers' dealings in everyday life.
At the same time a large number of merchants are looking for ways to start selling their products and services online in an optimal manner at the optimal price. Building their own online-store and online promotion requires significant investment, not to mention the fees for listing with shopping aggregators and catalogues. The computer-implemented system according to the invention offers an efficient way for small businesses to build an online sales channel. The computer-implemented system according to the invention allows online consumers to create requests for the products/services they would like to purchase. This computer-implemented system instantly delivers the requests to all merchants who can supply the requested products or services. The request should contain geographical location, product category and additional parameters that altogether serve as a filter for targeting the request at the merchants. Once the merchant has received the request they can reply to it and connect directly with the potential buyer using a built-in internal communication platform which allows different ways for user communication: chat, audio calls, video calls. The communication platform's audio and a video-call feature enables both parties to discuss details of a deal.
According to the invention, a computer-implemented system places into real-time relationship a buyer and a seller of a product or service. The computer-implemented system comprises:
- A database of products or services offered for sale or purchase ;
- An internet access by which a potential buyer/seller can formulate a request/offer for a product or service he wishes to purchase/sell ; - A classification engine comprising a set of criteria to define a product or service to sell/purchase, said criteria being selectable by a seller to define a product or service on sale and being selectable by a buyer to define a product or service he wishes to purchase ;
- A correspondence module arranged to provide for each potential buyer information on given seller products or services from said database that correspond to the potential buyer's criteria or, in case of non-correspondence, information on other products or services ; and - A chat module integrated in the computer-implemented system for establishing a real-time communication between a buyer of products or services and a selected seller of products or services for communication at choice by text, audio or video- chat.
In a preferred embodiment, the computer-implemented system according to invention comprises a correspondence module including a first search engine for searching said database of products or services and said classification engine and a second search engine for searching in external databases in case of non-correspondence with the first search engine.
The computer-implemented system according to the invention may further comprise a continuation search engine adapted to continue searching in place of said first and second search engine until a correspondence is found.
In a preferred embodiment, the computer-implemented system further comprises a geo-location processor adapted for locating sellers and buyers with a selectable location and / or at a selected territory and / or within a given distance from one another.
The computer-implemented system may further comprise inputs for requests from sellers, said requests comprising criteria supplied by sellers, an aggregator for aggregating a plurality of such requests, and a natural language processor for processing said plurality of requests in natural language and translating and reformatting data in compliance with an internal protocol.
The computer-implemented system according to the invention further comprises a router that generates targeted offers from said processor, said targeted offers being based on buyer's criteria.
The computer-implemented system according to the invention can comprise system components for connecting buyers to sellers namely : - an on-line buying mechanism which includes a customer search engine, and commerce processing engine, and performs processes that manage all system components,
- an external search engine which provides ads searching on classifieds sites, - a natural language processing mechanism which comprises a set of algorithms for processing user queries in natural language,
- a gamification mechanism which is a set of algorithms with game mechanics for user motivation,
- a distributed commerce graph which stores data connections with users interaction history, and
- a routing rules engine which manages the construction of routes to connect buyers and sellers.
In a preferred embodiment, the computer-implemented system according to the invention, comprises a job server which integrates external data through target crawlers and collects the answers.
In one embodiment, the computer-implemented system according to the invention comprises:
- an external Integration module organizing technical processes for obtaining data from external sources such as SaaS e-commerce services, Content Management
Systems and social stores ;
- an integration server for storing received data from external sources ;
- a Natural Language Processor for analyzing natural language, which, in coordination with the integration server, translates / reformats data in compliance with an internal protocol ; and
- a core Application Program Interface (API) which sends information from the Natural Language Processor to the primary server, which primary server creates subscriptions from recognized categories from external sources. The computer-implemented system according to the invention allows interested users, buyers or sellers, to receive requests from other users, in real time, and establish online communication between the buyer and the seller. To receive requests the user must specify in the computer-implemented system, which product or service he is interested in and must remain connected. The inventive computer- implemented system works on the principle of sending requests to all users who have subscribed to these requests based on their interests, as well as providing feedback on the request and establishing with other users online correspondence, audio or video call connection. The user is able to create a request or subscription for any goods and services provided on a paid as well as free for other users.
Information stored as a request must contain a specific need, which should find subscribers and has the final rubrics in a criteria catalog. A subscription can contain any nesting level directories in the criteria, thus defining general or specific topics for receiving requests. The request is sent to all concerned subscribers as soon as it is created.
Another aspect of the invention is a computer-implemented method for placing into real-time relationship a buyer and a seller of a product or service, the computer- implemented method comprising: - Providing a database of products or services offered for sale or purchase ;
- Formulating via an internet access, by a potential buyer/seller, a request/offer for a product or service the buyer / seller wishes to purchase/sell ;
- Providing a classification engine comprising a set of criteria that define a product or service to sell/purchase, said criteria being selectable by a seller to define a product or service on sale and being selectable by a buyer to define a product or service he wishes to purchase ;
- Providing via a correspondence module, for each potential buyer, information on given seller's products or services from said database that correspond to the potential buyer's criteria or, in case of non-correspondence, providing information on other products or services ; and - Making available a chat module integrated in the computer-implemented system for establishing a real-time communication between a buyer of products or services and a selected seller of products or services for communication by text or video-chat. The user creates a request to buy or sell goods or services corresponding to specific needs. The request can contain the brand, model, size, color and price of searched items. The request is delivered only to interested users and who have filled out additional parameters indicating the category to which this request relates, specifying its location, defining desired category, buying / selling / leasing, and optional additional filters.
The request will be sent out to all users who have subscribed to data requests, taking into account interests and regional preferences.
User search queries are processed with algorithms that extract the meaning of the request and identify the object that the user has demanded. Thus the inventive computer-implemented system literally understands what the user wants and gives the most relevant offers, not overloading the user with tons of information.
Advice on goods and services can be given by experts. Their recommendations in real-time help to make the right choice and purchase the right merchandise.
In a preferred embodiment of the method, a business creates a subscription to its service in a complex commerce ecosystem. Consumers create an application for acquiring services and an Expert operates in the segment of services and helps consumers to make decisions, and to set up a complex commerce ecosystem graph for building mechanisms of distribution of services and applications.
The computer-implemented method according to the invention can comprise hybrid events which are processed in the sphere of services and e-commerce and requests enter in Customer Search Engine which defines the context of requests and searches for all corresponding users. A customer search engine transmits contextual search results to a Multiplexer which provides targeted mailing to all found users. In another aspect of the computer-implemented method according to the invention, the process of request purchase processing inside the system is as follows :
- the buyer creates a query regarding a product or a service he is looking for;
- the routes are extracted and the offers are sent to the sellers if the system has found online target sellers;
- the external search engine is launched automatically to find the requested product or service on the internet if there are no target sellers on-line;
- a connection is established between the buyer and the seller, when a seller is found and when he has accepted the request; and - a deal is made and the payment can be done when the buyer agrees with the seller.
The computer-implemented system and method provide an easy-to-use API, which allows for adding functionality to third-party services and web-sites such as social networks, media web-sites, blogs, online-stores, etc. After integration, any social resource can get an additional channel of monetization using opportunities of the computer-implemented system according to the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The invention provides a computer-implemented system for placing into real-time relationship a buyer 1 and a seller 2 of a product or service 36. The computer- implemented system comprises a data repository 1 which is a knowledge base including products or services 36 offered for sale or purchase. The computer- implemented system comprises an intemet access by which a potential buyer 1 or seller 2 can formulate a request/offer 30 for a product or service 36 he wishes to purchase / sell. A classification engine 7 comprises a set of criteria to define a product or service 36 to sell / purchase. The classification engine 7 realizes special algorithms designed to recognize all products and services in e-commerce segments and services the final user may need. Realized algorithms are based on processing of unstructured text. The aforementioned criteria are selectable by a seller 2 to define a product or service 23 on sale and are selectable by a buyer 1 to define a product or service 36 he wishes to purchase. A correspondence module is arranged to provide for each potential buyer 1 information on given seller products or services 36 from data repository 11 that correspond to the potential buyer's 1 criteria. In case of non- correspondence, information can be supplied on other products or services 36. A chat module 100 is integrated in the computer-implemented system for establishing a real-time communication between a buyer 1 of products or services 26 and a selected seller 2 of products or services 26 for communication by text, audio and / or video-chat. Fig 1 illustrates external services interaction. A seller 2, who can be a private individual or a store owner, creates a subscription inside the computer-implemented system via integration tools module 8. The seller 2 fills out categories to a common type of data in the computer-implemented system via classification engine 7. Once subscriptions 31 are on the HTTP Server 4, the request is sent to core services 5, 6, 9 for processing, namely commerce processing engine 5, distributed commerce graph 6 and routing rules engine 9.
Fig 2 shows an overall display of system components which are implemented in the service, for connecting buyers A, 1 B, C to sellers 2A, 2B, 2C, namely :
- An on-line buying mechanism which includes a customer search engine 14 and commerce processing engine 5, that manage all the system components,
- An external search engine 13 which provides ads searching on classifieds sites, - A natural language processing mechanism 15 which is a set of algorithms for processing user queries in natural language,
- A gamification mechanism 12 which is a set of algorithms with game mechanics for users motivation,
- A distributed commerce graph 6 which stores data connections with users interaction history, and
- A routing rules engine 9 which manages the construction of the sets with routes to connect buyers 1 and sellers 2.
As shown in Fig 7, the end user creates a request 70. Entrepreneurs and businesses are able to make suggestions in accordance with the request 70. If a business has a current offer 73, the buyer can accept the offer 74 and proceed with a purchase. If a business does not have a current offer, it is possible to make a popup advertising offer 72. In this case, the end user receives relevant advertising 72 on related products. In the context of the system, advertising turns into a proposal. If needed, the end user can get more information about the requested product or service by chat or video thanks to the chat module. Publicity tools are context-based and marketing oriented. As shown in Fig. 4, external Integration module 21 organizes technical processes for obtaining data from external sources 22 (SaaS, CMS, Social/Media). The received data from the external sources 22 is stored in the integration server 21. Integration server 21 in coordination with NLP-server 15, which analyses natural language, translates / reformats data in compliance with the internal protocol. On the basis of the internal protocol, the integration server 21 defines a target-segment corresponding to those data analyzed in the previous stage and through the core API 16 sends this information to the primary server. The primary server links subscriptions to all targeted categories of external sources 22.
As shown in Fig 2, integration core 33 sends a signal to adapter 35 to retrieve data. Integration core 33 normalizes external data and converts it into internal protocol. Based on an internal protocol, the core server 34 create subscriptions within the system that are returned to the integration core 33.
External semi-structured data are sent to the adapter 35 which transforms them for the internal protocol. As shown in Fig 13, the displayed data are transferred to the normalizer 38 for processing. Integration core 33 normalizes external data to internal protocol. The normalizer 38 defines the essence of the external data. The mapper 24 creates a correspondence between normalized data and goods 36 and categories 37 and sends a signal to the integration core 33 for the formation of the main service tasks. The integration core 33 transfers data to the main service ( i.e. primary server and /or Core server ) to create subscriptions.
When a consumer, buyer 1 or seller 2, creates a request 30 it is automatically sent to the search server (Fig 3). Search Server chooses a free contractor, which is a free crawler searching information in a defined context, and provides it with context of the work. The job server 18 integrates the external data through the target crawlers 20 and collects the answers. Another job server function is load distribution between crawlers. All the answers to the inquiry are collected in automatic mode, and transmitted back to the system. The system transforms the found answers in response applications. The end user receives additional answers (external searches) through the notification server 19 to the inquiry which exist in the network at the current time.
The request processing flow wherein the user 1 receives a purchase request is as follows. The first stage is to check if there are no target sellers 2 on-line. If so, an offer 26 (Fig 6) can be sent to the seller 2. Communication processes can be set up between the buyer 1 and the seller 2 through the chat module 100 till the payment of the product or service 36. Otherwise, the computer-implemented system will launch an external search to find the requested product or service 36.
Fig 8 shows a flowchart which describes the process of the request purchase processing inside the system. First, the buyer creates a query 801 regarding a product or a service he is looking for. If the system has found online target sellers 802, then the routes are extracted and the offers are sent to the sellers 803. If there are no target sellers on-line 808, the external search engine is launched automatically to find the requested product or service on the internet. When a seller is found and when he has accepted the request 804, a connection 805 is established between the buyer and the seller. If the buyer agrees with the seller at 806, then they can make a deal and proceed to the payment 807. As explained previously, if the system does not find a seller, then a request is created and the external search engine is launched at 808. When the requested product or service is found at 809 thanks to the external search engine, the buyer must wait for the acceptance of the seller before entering into relationship with him. If the buyer agrees with the author of an ad, then they can make a deal. In cases where no offers were found, a request is sent by the system to continue the search at 810. Continuation search 810 tracks emergence of online targeted sellers.
The computer-implemented system of the invention is based on a distributed social commerce graph which is a Meta-system for storing details of deal, supply and demand. Key features are a cluster of entrepreneurial activities, and expert community. All transactions within the system are stored in a graph-oriented data structure. On the basis of a generated structure conscientious buyers 1 and sellers 2 are selected. On the basis of a commercial graph, the most effective experts K are suggested. The distributed social commerce graph is an advisory mechanism on the basis of commercial relations within the network.
Fig 5 illustrates such a complex commerce ecosystem. A business creates a subscription to its service S1. Consumers E, B create an application for acquiring services. Expert K operates in the segment of services S1 and helps consumers E, B to make decisions. Consumer E sells to consumer G. A distributed commercial graph allows to build mechanisms of distribution of services and applications. Fig 6 describes the stages allowing the creation of the relationship between a buyer 1 and a seller 2.
Stage 1 : Inputs
At this stage, sellers 2A, 2B are defining their offer 26 according to the system criteria. For example, sellers 2A, 2B are both proposing offers corresponding to category 1 whereas seller 2, alone, has an offer in category 2 and seller 2B has a service in service S1.
Stage 2 : Real time target commerce engine
The aggregator 24 compiles all the requests and passes them to the NLP 15 that will determinate the context of the request 30. In parallel the geo-location module 25 determinates the location of the request 30. Target post-processor 39 then compiles all received contexts and location and formulates events for the router 9. Stage 3 : Output
The router 19 generates targeted offers 26 based on buyer's 1 criteria. For example, buyer 1D receives two different offers 26, one offer 26C for a product 36 and one offer 26D for a service 36. The same offer 26C corresponds to buyer 1C who will receive it. Buyer 1 B received a targeted ad 26 B meaning that no specific offer 26 matches his needs. Buyer A receives an offer 26A for a product 36.
Aggregators/mappers 24 give access to large data sets, and the sellers 2A, 2B need to search for valuable and useful information. The computer-implemented system of the invention isolates its users from a lot of unstructured data and make it possible to work only with the target segments and relevant data 26. Natural language processor 15 determines the context of the request. Geo location processor 25 determines the locality of the request. Target post-processor 39 compiles all received contexts and formulates events for Multiplexer/ router 19. Multiplexer/ router 19 gives users the found answers.
Figs 9 - 11 show processing of hybrid events in the sphere of services and e- commerce. Requests A, B, C enter in Customer Search Engine 14. Customer search engine 14 defines the context of requests 30 and searches for all corresponding users. Customer search engine 14 transmits the contextual search results to Multiplexer 27. Multiplexer 27 provides targeted mailing to all found users (buyers 1). Real time target commerce engine (broadcast, unicast) is a real time interaction of the services or goods 36 provider with customers 1. For example, Fig 9 shows a subscription 31 A which groups offers A and B corresponding to the same criteria ; a subscription 31 B which groups offers A and C corresponding to the same criteria ; and a subscription 31 C which groups offers A, B and C corresponding to the same criteria. Search requests are managed by Continuation Search Engine 32 which is a non-stop process of finding applications. As shown in Figs 10 - 11 , the event bus 29 processes the endless request and sends the result of queries 30 to the continuation search engine 32. The continuation engine 32 sends the response to multiplexer 27 for distribution. Fig 11 illustrates a distribution in an unicast format. In fact, each subscription 31 sends an unique offer to buyer. Fig 10 shows a broadcast format with common responses to all interested buyers. In this configuration, event bus 29 aggregates all the requests 30 and creates common subscriptions. For example, request 30 generates a set of subscriptions 31 for all corresponding buyers. Endless queries 30 identify relevant content. Continuation Search Engine 32 receives responses from the endless requests and sends to Multiplexer 27 responses to distribution. From the above description it can be seen that the described system and method of the invention provide an easy and secure way to purchase or sell a product or service on the internet, with the possibility to contact instantly the buyer or the seller.
