Abstract
Method for manufacturing a screw rotor (1) whereby at least the following steps are implemented: - the mounting of the workpiece (14) in a machine tool (27) with the outermost diameter of the rotor body (2); - the boring of centre holes (13) in the end faces (12a, 12b) of the journals (3a, 3b); - the mounting of the workpiece (14) with the centre holes (13); - the rough turning of a clamping surface (16) on a journal (3a); - the mounting of the workpiece (14) with the aforementioned clamping surface (16); - the rough turning and profile milling operations of the rotor body (2) and the journals (3a, 4b); the fine profile grinding, milling and turning operations of the rotor body (2) and the journals (3a, 3b); whereby all steps are implemented, with the same machine tool (27).
