Description
The present invention relates to an oven comprising a cooking pot.
Since the requirements of cooking process are different, the ovens wherein more than one cooking process is performed generally have a complicated way of operation and high cost. Ovens mostly comprise various accessories like steam generator, grill apparatus, smoking chamber, etc. according to the type of the food and the requirements of the cooking process required to be applied. Performing more than one cooking process and the use of the accessories that provide these cooking processes to be performed simultaneously are limited by the volume inside the oven. Furthermore, storing and stacking these accessories in the kitchen cause a significant problem. Due to these problems, cooking pots with multi-purpose cooking function are needed.
In the state of the art International Patent Application No. WO2005015087, a cooking device is explained wherein multiple cooking processes can be simultaneously realized by more than one cooking accessory.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of an oven comprising a cooking pot that provides ease of utilization.
The oven realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a cooking pot that has a body, a lid covering the top of the body and a tray disposed on the body and whereon the foods to be cooked are placed. The cooking pot comprises in the body a first compartment wherein the tray is placed, a heater, a second compartment wherein a heater is placed and a separator disposed between a first compartment and a second compartment. The cooking pot performs the cooking process without requiring the heating of the entire area inside the oven by means of the heater disposed thereon. Thus, less energy is used for the same cooking process and the heat disperses more easily and homogeneously in the cooking pot which has a volume less than the inner volume of the oven. The cooking pot enables different cooking processes to be performed by means of the first compartment and the second compartment. Steam cooking can be performed by filling water into the first compartment and/or the second compartment and also smoking can be performed by putting sawdust into the second compartment. Since different cooking processes are performed by means of a single cooking pot, the storage areas reserved for the cooking pots are used effectively and savings in energy and time are provided by performing different cooking processes simultaneously.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking pot comprises a passage that allows the smoke and/or the vapor forming as a result of the heating of the sawdust and/or water filled into the second compartment to pass to the first compartment. The passage allows the smoke, the vapor and the hot air to disperse inside the cooking pot. Thus, the foods are provided to be cooked homogeneously and the thermal energy is used effectively.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the first compartment and the second compartment are adjacent to each other. Thus, a more compact cooking pot is produced, providing ease of utilization. By the first compartment and the second compartment being disposed side by side, the heat transfer between the first compartment and the second compartment is performed more quickly.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the separator is produced from a material with high thermal conductivity coefficient. By the separator being produced from a material with high thermal conductivity coefficient, the heat emitted from the heater disposed on the second compartment is transferred to the first compartment without heat loss. Thus, energy is provided to be used effectively.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the volume of the second compartment is smaller than that of the first compartment. Thus, a tray having a larger cooking area can be used.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the tray is grill-shaped. By means of the grill-shaped tray, the vapor is provided to easily reach the foods during the steam cooking process and the area where the vapor contacts the foods is expanded. The vapor disperses homogeneously onto the foods to be cooked by passing through the rod-shaped openings on the tray. Thus the cooking quality of the cooking pot is increased.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven comprises a control unit which enables the surface temperature of the heater to remain at the temperature range suitable for generating smoke. Thus, the heater is turned on/off by the control unit such that the surface temperature thereof remains at the temperature values between 400° C and 600° C.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven comprises a control unit which provides the surface temperature of the heater to remain at the temperature range suitable for generating vapor. The control unit provides the temperature to increase in a controlled manner and thus prevents the foods from being cooked in a short period of time and allows the foods to be cooked slowly by vapor.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven comprises a connection member disposed on the heater so as to remain between the heater and the oven, providing the heater to be energized. By means of the connection member, the electric energy received from the oven is transmitted to the heater. The connection member furthermore provides data transfer between the control unit and the heater.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven comprises the cooking pot that is detachably placed therein. Thus, when the cooking pot is not in use, the cooking pot is taken out of the oven and the volume of the oven is effectively used.
By means of the present invention, ease of utilization is provided by means of the oven comprising a cooking pot that performs more than one cooking process like steam cooking, grilling and smoking and the storage area reserved for the cooking pot is used effectively.
The model embodiments that relate to the cooking device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention are illustrated in the attached figures, where:

The oven (1) comprises a cooking pot (2) having a body (3), a lid (4) that covers the upper face of the body (3) and a tray (5) placed into the body (3) and whereon the foods to be cooked are placed. The cooking pot (2) comprises, in the body (3), a first compartment (6) wherein the tray (5) is placed, a heater (7), a second compartment (8) wherein the heater (7) is placed and a separator (9) disposed between the first compartment (6) and the second compartment (8). By means of the heater (7), the cooking process can also be performed by consuming less energy without using the heater of the oven (1). The cooking pot (2) enables different cooking processes to be performed by means of the first compartment (6) and the second compartment (8). For example steam cooking can be performed by filling water into the first compartment (6) and/or the second compartment (8), smoking process can be performed by putting sawdust into the second compartment (8), and smoking and steam cooking processes can be simultaneously performed by filling water into the first compartment (6) and putting sawdust into the second compartment (8). Thus, the volume inside the oven (1) is used effectively and energy and time consumption is reduced. Since different cooking processes are performed by a single cooking pot (2), the storage areas reserved for the cooking pots (2) are decreased.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking pot (2) comprises a passage (12) that allows the smoke and/or the vapor forming as a result of the heating of the sawdust and/or water filled into the second compartment (8) to pass to the first compartment (6). By means of the passage (12), the foods are cooked homogeneously by providing the circulation of smoke, vapor and hot air inside the cooking pot (2). Since heat transfer by convection is realized, energy consumption is reduced.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the first compartment (6) is situated next to the second compartment (8). By the first compartment (6) and the second compartment (8) being situated next to each other, it becomes easier to place foods, water or sawdust into the cooking pot (2) and to take them out of the cooking pot (2). The foods to be cooked and the materials disposed in the second compartment (8) and which are part of the cooking process, for example water and sawdust, can be simultaneously controlled.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking pot (2) comprises a separator (9) produced from a material with high thermal conductivity coefficient and situated between the first compartment (6) and the second compartment (8). By means of the heater (7) that transmits heat effectively, an effective heat transfer is provided between the first compartment (6) and the second compartment (8).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the volume of the second compartment (8) is smaller than that of the first compartment (6). Thus, the area reserved for the tray (5) is increased and it is enabled to cook more food.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the tray (5) is grill-shaped. By means of the rod-shaped openings arranged side by side on the grill-shaped tray (5), the vapor and/or the smoke surrounds the food on the tray (5) homogeneously. Consequently, the quality of cooking is improved.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises a control unit (11) that provides the heater (7) surface temperature to remain within the temperature range which is suitable for generating smoke. When the temperature of the heater (7) reaches the predetermined upper limit value, the heater (7) is turned off by the control unit (11). When the temperature of the heater (7) reaches a predetermined lower limit value during the smoking process, the heater (7) is operated again. Thus the smoking process is performed in a controlled manner by preventing the sawdust from flaming up.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises the control unit (11) that provides the heater (7) surface temperature to remain within the temperature range which is suitable for generating vapor.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises a connection member (10) disposed on the heater (7) so as to remain between the heater (7) and the oven (1), providing the heater (7) to be energized. By means of the connection member (10), the cooking pot (2) is energized by means of the oven (1) and controlled via the oven (1).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the oven (1) comprises a cooking pot (2) that is detachably placed therein. Thus, when the cooking pot (2) is not in use, the cooking pot (2) is taken out of the oven (1) and the volume of the oven (1) is effectively used.
By means of the present invention, the need for a cooking pot (2) required for different cooking processes is met by a single cooking pot (2). By means of the heater (7) disposed in the cooking pot (2), the cooking process is performed without requiring the volume inside the oven (1) to be heated entirely. Thus, ease of use and energy saving are provided and the storage area to be reserved for the cooking pot (2) is decreased.
