Description
The present invention relates to a washing machine comprising a dispenser wherein washing agents are placed.
In washing machines, the washing agent required for the cleaning process is placed into a dispenser. The wash water received from the water inlet is directed into the dispenser. The dissolved–melted washing agent passes into the washing tub together with the water. The dispensers generally comprise partitions wherein powder and/or liquid washing agents are placed and at least one water inlet that provides delivery of water into the partition. Mold forms in the inner portions of the partition and the water inlet in the course of time since the said partition and the water inlet remain wet after the washing. This situation is unfavorable in terms of hygiene. Furthermore, these parts remaining wet causes the washing agent used in the next washing to lump by gathering moisture and it becomes difficult to deliver the lumped washing agent into the washing tub with the washing water.
Another problem encountered as a result of the washing agent dispenser and the water inlet remaining wet is that when the weather is very cold, the water in these sections freezes, thereby adversely affecting the effectiveness of the washing machine.
In the state of the art European Patent Document No. EP2202341, a household appliance is described having a hot air unit that provides the delivery of hot air into the detergent dispenser.

The washing machine (1) comprises a body (2), a tub (3) wherein the washing process is performed and a dispenser (4) wherein the cleaning agents are placed.
The washing machine (1) of the present invention furthermore comprises a dehumidifying unit (6) wherein the desiccant material (5) is placed that desiccates the air passing therethrough and a pumping channel (7) that provides the delivery of hot and/or dry air from the dehumidifying unit (6) to the dispenser (4) (Figure 1). The desiccant material (5) emanates heat while desiccating and transfers this heat to the air passing therethrough. The air that is heated by passing through the dehumidifying unit (6) is delivered to the dispenser (4) by means of the pumping channel (7). Thus, the dispenser (4) is provided to be dried by heating and the disadvantages that occur as the result of the dispenser (4) remaining wet are prevented (Figure 1).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the washing machine (1) comprises a fan (8) that sucks and delivers the air towards the dehumidifying unit (6) and a suction channel (9) that enables the delivery of the air sucked by the fan (8) to the dehumidifying unit (6). The air coming from the tub (3), the dispenser (4) or the outside environment is sucked by the fan (8) and delivered to the dehumidifying unit (6) by means of the suction channel (9). Consequently, the dispenser (4) is provided to be dried after the humid air inside the tub (3) or the dispenser (4) is heated and dried by means of the dehumidifying unit (6).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the washing machine (1) comprises at least one first valve (10) disposed on the suction channel (9) and that enables the controlling of the passage of air received from the dispenser (4) and/or the tub (3) to the dehumidifying unit (6). The amount of air received from the dispenser (4), the tub (3) or the outside environment and delivered to the dehumidifying unit (6) is controlled by means of the first valve (10). For example, during drying of the dispenser (4), the delivery of air from the tub (3) to the dehumidifying unit (6) is prevented by means of the first valve (10). Thus, only the air inside the dispenser (4) is delivered to the dehumidifying unit (6) by being sucked by the fan (8) and the dispenser (4) is provided to be dried in a shorter period of time.
In a derivative of this embodiment, the washing machine (1) comprises a first suction channel (109) with one end connected to the dispenser (4), that extends from the dispenser (4) towards the dehumidifying unit (6) and provides the air leaving the dispenser (4) to be delivered to the dehumidifying unit (6). After the final discharge of water from the washing machine (1) is realized, the delivery of air from the tub (3) to the dehumidifying unit (6) is prevented by means of the first valve (10). The air sucked by the fan (8) from the dispenser (4) is delivered to the dehumidifying unit (6) by passing through the first suction channel (109).
In a derivative of this embodiment, the washing machine (1) comprises a second suction channel (209) with one end connected to the tub (3), that extends from the tub (3) towards the dehumidifying unit (6) and that enables the air leaving the tub (3) to be delivered to the dehumidifying unit (6). During the drying of the interior of the tub (3), the delivery of air from the dispenser (4) to the dehumidifying unit (6) is prevented by means of the first valve (10). The humid air leaving the tub (3) is delivered to the dehumidifying unit (6) by passing through the second suction channel (209).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the washing machine (1) comprises at least one second valve (11) disposed on the pumping channel (7) and that enables the controlling of the passage of air leaving the dehumidifying unit (6) to the dispenser (4) or the tub (3). For example, during the drying of the dispenser (4), the delivery of air from the dehumidifying unit (6) to the tub (3) is prevented by means of the second valve (11). Thus, the dispenser (4) is provided to be dried in a short period of time by delivering all of the air heated by means of the dehumidifying unit (6) to the dispenser (4).
In a derivative of this embodiment, the washing machine (1) comprises a first pumping channel (107) disposed between the second valve (11) and the dispenser (4) and that enables the delivery of air leaving the dehumidifying unit (6) to the dispenser (4). After the final discharge of water is realized in the washing machine (1), during the drying of the dispenser (4), the air leaving the dehumidifying unit (6) is provided to pass only through the first pumping channel (107) by means of the second valve (11). The entire dry and hot air is provided to be delivered to the dispenser (4) by means of the first pumping channel (107).
In a derivative of this embodiment, the washing machine (1) comprises a second pumping channel (207) disposed between the second valve (11) and the tub (3) that enables the delivery of air leaving the dehumidifying unit (6) to the tub (3). In washing machines (1), the drying step is started after the rinsing step is finished. For example, in this step, the first suction channel (109) and the first pumping channel (107) are provided to be closed. Consequently, the drying effectiveness is increased by providing the entire air desiccated by passing through the desiccant material (5) to be delivered to the tub (3).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the washing machine (1) comprises at least one heater (12) that is used in the regeneration of the desiccant material (5). Since the desiccant material (5) reaching its saturation point by desiccating the processing air is of reversible characteristic, it is rendered to be desiccant again by regenerating. The heater (12) situated inside the dehumidifying unit (6) is operated and the desiccant material (5) is provided to be regenerated. Thus, the desiccant material (5) is provided to be able to retain moisture.
By means of the present invention, the dry air heated by the dehumidifying unit (6) is provided to be delivered to the dispenser (4) and the dispenser (4) to be dried by heating. Thus, the formation of microorganisms in the dispenser (4) is prevented and if present, the microorganisms are provided to be exterminated. Furthermore, generation of bad odor is averted by preventing the dispenser (4) from remaining wet.
It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed above and a person skilled in the art can easily introduce different embodiments. These should be considered within the scope of the protection postulated by the claims of the present invention.
