Abstract
The invention relates to the field of vehicles and in particular relates to a drive of an electric vehicle having expanded range and to the control system of said drive, comprising: a three-phase alternating-current electric motor for driving the vehicles wheels by means of a drive device or directly in order to move the vehicle, a battery group for supplying current for said electric motor by means of a buck-boost converter and an inverter, a three-phase alternating-current generator unit, and a rectifier which rectifies the alternating current output by said three-phase alternating-current generator unit into direct current, wherein the input ends for the three-phase alternating current of said rectifier are connected to the output ends for the three-phase alternating current of the alternating-current generator unit and wherein the positive pole and the negative pole of the direct-current output end of said rectifier are respectively connected to the positive pole and the negative pole of the battery. Said drive and the control system thereof can simultaneously increase the torque density of the electric motor and the power density of the generator and thereby reduce the weight and the dimensions of the electric motor and of the generator.
