Abstract
A refrigerator, in particular a domestic refrigerator, has at least one assembly (7, 9), which can be operated at different non-zero values of an operating parameter which influences the emission of noise, and has a control unit (10) which is designed to autonomously vary the value of the operating parameter in a first mode of operation. The control unit (10) can be switched over to a second mode, in which it operates the assembly (7, 9) with a single non-zero value of the operating parameter.
