Abstract

An intervertebral prosthesis for unremovable fixing of two adjacent vertebrae, comprising: a cage (2) insertable between two adjacent vertebrae, provided with a housing (3); a first opening (4) and a second opening (5), both the first opening (4) and the second opening (5) placing the housing (3) in communication with an outside of the cage (2); and in that it further comprises: a screw (6) insertable in the housing (3) through the first opening (4); a screw nut (7) dimensioned such as to engage with the screw (6) when the screw nut (7) and the screw (6) are inserted in the housing (3); at least a first arm which can engage in the housing (3) such as to rotate between a first angular position (A), in which the first arm is arranged internally of the housing (3), and a second angular position, in which a first portion of the second arm (9) has exited from the second opening (5) such as to abut against a vertebral surface when the cage (2) is inserted between the two vertebrae, with a consequent blocking of the intervertebral prosthesis (1) to the two vertebrae, the rotation of the first arm- being commanded by the movement of the screw nut (7) along the screw (6).
