Abstract
An examination device for optically examining tissue areas (10) in body cavities comprises light-emitting diodes (24), by means of which the examination area (26) can be illuminated with light of different wavelengths as selected. Sample light returning from the examination area (26) reaches an image converter (40) by means of an objective (36) and a multi-filter (58), which comprises a plurality of strip-shaped interference filters. By producing a relative motion between the multi-filter (58) and the image converter (40), fluorescence images of the examination area (26) can be determined for predefined spectral ranges. Diseased tissue areas can be differentiated from healthy tissue areas by comparing and/or linking the spectral sub-images.
