A television receiver interface (11) receives a compressed transport stream broadcast by an operator (15) of digital audiovisual services, said interface comprising an audience recording unit (112) that responds to the reception of a selectable service activation signal transported by the transport stream, capturing an identifier of the type of stream selected and starting a count of the period of time in which the stream is selected.
