Abstract
The invention relates to pump technology in the intensive treatment of diabetes and other diseases. Means for automatically checking current measurements in a patient's body are proposed. The checking procedure uses a flow method and is integrated with the procedure for the basal and bolus programs for controlling the pump in the current treatment mode. Negative feedback algorithms are created for automatic treatment control. Flow means necessary for additional measurements carried out by external devices are used. The invention makes it unnecessary to take frequent blood samples for routine analysis.
