Abstract

The invention relates to a replaceable energy storage device for an electric consumer, e.g. an electric vehicle. Said energy storage device comprises an electronic subassembly which includes two short-range and long-range communication modules that exchange data with the electric consumer and with depots for storing and replacing the energy storage devices. The electronic subassembly also includes an arithmetic unit, a data memory, and positioning systems. The operator of the electric consumer thus has a variety of information available that allows him or her to comfortably and economically operate the consumer.
