Description
STAND CHAIR DEVICE
This invention deals with a stand chair. More particularly, it is a stand chair comprising a seat and a back rest connected to a seat base, the base being arranged to be con- nected to a stand step. The invention also includes the use of the device .
Prior art stand chairs are often formed as fixed or tip-up seats which are attached to the stand step. The methods of attachment used are not designed for easy alteration of the distance between the seats.
Known seats are not adapted to be used for other purposes than as a sitting device and thereby do not contribute to improving the stand environment to any degree worth mentioning.
The invention has for its object to remedy or reduce at least one of the drawbacks of the prior art .
The object is achieved through features which are specified in the description below and in the claims that follow.
A stand chair is provided, comprising a seat and a back rest which are both connected to a seat base, the seat base being arranged to be connected to a stand step, the stand chair being characterized by the back rest being provided, at its upper portion facing away from the chair seat, with a screen console .
The screen console is thus arranged to be used by a user who is behind the stand chair.
An aspect of the stand chair is that the screen console is provided with a display. The display may be constituted by, for example, a liquid crystal display (LCD) .
With advantage, the display which communicates with a computer may be addressed individually. By the use of a pressure-sensitive display, a two-way communication with the user may also be established.
The display may thus be used to give information to the user, for example about what is happening in front of the stand or information related to other conditions.
Another aspect of the stand chair is that the display is supplied with electrical energy by means of a cable extending via the supporting structure and the seat base.
Yet another aspect of the stand chair is that the display communicates in a wireless manner with a computer.
Thus, arrangements have thus been made for using a liquid crystal display on a stand chair.
In its simplest embodiment the console may form a mount for advertising material .
A further aspect of the stand chair is that the seat base complementarily fits a supporting profile which forms part of a supporting structure.
The supporting profile typically extends along the stand step, the supporting profile being arranged to support a plurality of stand chairs which then typically form a row of chairs .
Yet another aspect of the stand chair is that the seat base is attached to the supporting profile by means of a first attachment clip. The chairs may thereby be placed with appropriate spacing on the supporting profile, the spacing being changeable at any time by loosening the first attachment clip and then moving the stand chair on the supporting profile.
Yet another aspect of the stand chair is that the supporting profile is secured to a supporting bracket which is secured in turn to the stand step, the supporting bracket forming part of the supporting structure. The supporting profile is connected to the supporting bracket by means of a second attachment clip. The supporting profile, possibly together with the connected stand chairs, may thereby easily be removed, for example for maintenance work.
The stand chair according to the invention enables transmission of information to the user also on an individual basis. Further, the stand chair is arranged for easy adaptation on the supporting structure.
In what follows is described an example of a preferred em- bodiment which is visualized in the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows, in perspective, a stand chair, the stand chair being mounted on a supporting structure;
Figure 2 shows the stand chair of figure 1 at an angle from above ;
Figure 3 shows the stand chair of figure 1, viewed from behind and in a folded-up position; and
Figure 4 shows a side view of the stand chair of figure 1.
In the drawings the reference numeral 1 indicates a stand
chair which is connected to a supporting structure 2. The stand chair 1 includes a seat 4 and a back rest 6 which are both connected to a seat base 10.
The supporting structure 2 includes a horizontal supporting profile 12 and a supporting bracket 14. The seat base 10 of the stand chair 1 is held in position on the supporting profile by means of a releasable first attachment clip 16, whereas the supporting profile 12 is clipped to the supporting bracket 14 by means of a releasable second attachment clip 18.
Typically, several supporting brackets 14 are bolted to a vertical portion of a stand step (not shown) , so that cleaning can easily be carried out under the seats 1. The supporting profile 12 extends between the supporting brackets 14.
A screen console 20 is arranged on the opposite side of the upper portion of the back rest 6 relative to the seat. An LCD display 22 is arranged in the screen console 20, see figure 3.
The LCD display 22 is supplied with electrical power via a cable 24 extending via the supporting profile 12 and the seat base 10, see figure 4. The LCD display 22 can communicate in a wireless manner with a computer not shown.
The seat 4 is pivotable on an axis 26 between an active folded-down position, see figures 1 and 2, and a passive folded-up position, see figures 3 and 4.
